Hunter Henry Is The Most Reliable Target On The Patriots
Hunter Henry started last year on fire, with at least 5 catches, 50 yards, and 1 TD in each of the first 2 games of the year, but after that, Henry would almost become non-existent in most games. The Patriots' offense was an abomination last season, as they didn't have a true offensive coordinator, they lacked a true go-to receiver, their O-line was injured, and Mac Jones was just bad.
This season, the Patriots have an actual offensive coordinator, additions to the offensive line, more depth at receiver, and, most importantly, what they hope is their franchise quarterback in Drake Maye. Henry has always been a solid tight end since he got into the league. He excels in the red zone and could become Drake Maye's best friend on the field right away as a safety blanket.
If Maye doesn't start, Henry will have a proven vet at quarterback in Jacoby Brissett, who is more than capable of supporting players for fantasy. Henry has the chance to become a top target as the receiver room doesn't have a clear number 1 option. Henry has never had 700 yards in a season but scores touchdowns, which makes up for the lack of yards for fantasy. Henry is a nice dart throw late in drafts with touchdown upside.
Our consensus projections for Henry in the 2024 season are 48 receptions, 543 yards, and 6 touchdowns.
