Insane Insights From Mr. McMahon - Episode 6: The Finish

This is episode Six of the Netflix Mr. McMahon documentary. This documentary is focused on Former WWE Chairman Vincent McMahon. At one point, he was on top of the wrestling world, but now his legacy is rotten, and it's such a fall from grace. This episode is titled "The Finish," as it is the conclusion of the series.

10. Vince's Admission About His Thoughts

Here comes a tremendous WTF moment of the final episode. It starts with Vince McMahon's discussion on how his brain and thoughts operate by calling them computers. The first computer is talking to the producer and the second focuses on something different. Then came the third computer which he can tap into and it impacts how he pays attention. When the producers ask what the third computer is thinking about, Vince responds with "having lots of fun and involves sex". Wow, that was a jaw-dropping statement knowing Vince's history. Why would Vince McMahon think it's a good idea to make a statement like that? Statements like that are probably why he tried to buy the documentary and hide it from existence. Too bad money can't get you out of anything.

9. Vince's Reasoning Why The Chris Benoit Incident Happened

The documentary goes into the Chris Benoit incident which is the most tragic event in pro wrestling. This was when Chris Benoit committed a double murder suicide where he killed his wife, son, and then himself. This incident almost took down the entire professional wrestling business. Vince finally spoke out about this incident and he claims that what happened with Benoit was not because of steroid usage or CTE. The main reason is that Chris Benoit just went nuts and was a very flawed human being. He's not wrong in that statement, but when looking at this incident, there were several reasons why Benoit did what he did.

8. Stone Cold Steve Austin Ridiculous Claim On CTE

Stone Cold Steve Austin is one of the most popular professional wrestlers. But he does not come across well in this final episode, with his comments regarding concussions and CTE.

Steve Austin mentions the time Owen Hart was dropped on his head. He got a concussion and a neck injury as well. Austin makes a statement on CTE saying the following:

"My take on that has always been if you’re just wrestling and you got a bunch of concussions you’re probably doing something wrong. I’m not a CTE guy, I just don’t believe in it."

This is coming from the same man who admitted on his podcast that he has been knocked out during matches and can't remember what else happened afterward. Also, saying you only get concussions for doing something wrong is the dumbest statement you can make and it's disrespectful.

7. Vince McMahon Claims The Undertaker Was Not Concussed

WrestleMania XXX was discussed and that was the show where the streak ended. The Undertaker admits that 5 minutes into the match he got concussed and couldn't remember much. According to Vince McMahon, he is skeptical that he was concussed. He claims that Undertaker can't remember because the loss was so traumatic. Oh really, then why did Vince leave the show early to go with The Undertaker to the hospital? Either McMahon is an absolute moron or is full of nonsense.

6. Shane McMahon And Vince Reconciled in 2016

From the last episode, it was clear Shane and Vince were on bad terms. When 2016 hit, Vince needed to get stars for WrestleMania 32, as WWE was plagued with injuries. Fascinating Fact about that show, every wrestler that left WrestleMania 31 as champion was injured and missed Mania 32. Enter Shane McMahon who reconciled with Vince.

Shane McMahon got to wrestle Undertaker at WrestleMania 32 in a Hell in a Cell Match. Honestly, that match and the story behind that match were terrible. The only good spot in that match was Shane jumping off the cell. When he did that they showed footage of Steph and Vince's reaction. When Shane was backstage, Vince was super proud of Shane and hugged him. That was awesome and it's great to see how their relationship was repaired.

5. The 2006 Tanning Salon Allegation

The many allegations were starting to be discussed involving Vince. Many mostly focus on the allegations of Rita Chatterton in 92 and the recent stuff involving Janel Grant. It's not the only allegation. In 2006 he was accused of harassing a woman at a tanning salon. He allegedly showed a worker naked photos of himself to the woman and groped her too.

Prosecutors didn’t think there was enough evidence to pursue charges, so it never went anywhere in court. In response, Vince decided to make a sexual assault storyline, with Mickie James making fun of the whole situation. Vince also denied the allegations, but it's quite a coincidence that he was accused of doing something similar in another tanning salon in 2011 as well.

4. Bruce Prichard Doesn't Not Come Across Well At All

Many people don't come across well in this documentary and Bruce Prichard is one of them. When asked about the episodes on the Mr. McMahon show, Prichard said that it sucked, wasn't balanced, and was a gotcha-style piece. Oh really, blame Vince for being the moron who claimed that if he had R**** Rita Chatterton the statute of limitations had passed, and laughing about wanting in the storyline to be the father of his daughter's baby. Look, it's understandable why he is loyal to Vince, but he comes across like a total yes-man and stooge for Vince. His statements look worse as not 2 days later the Janel Grant allegations come out.

3. It's Confirmed That McMahon Messaged Brock Lesnar Regarding Janel Grant

When the Janel Grant allegations came out, it was often reported that he sent these messages to a former UFC Champion. Many speculated who it was, but in this documentary, one of the reporters interviewed confirmed that Brock Lesnar was the man McMahon sent inappropriate photos of Grant too. It's also revealed that McMahon even offered Janel Grant to Brock Lesnar for sex. Yeah, Brock Lesnar won't be seen in a WWE ring until the Janel Grant lawsuit concludes.

The documentary also had this statement regarding Brock as well, “Brock Lesnar has not publicly commented on his involvement in the allegations.”

2. What Happened To Ashley Massaro In Kuwait

With all the Janel Grant allegations coming up, many shared their stories regarding Vince. The most disturbing from the bunch is what happened to Ashley Massaro. Ashley Massaro was on a WWE Tour in Kuwait, and on that tour, she was raped by a military doctor. She alleges that WWE did not respond and the company covered it up. This wasn't mentioned in the documentary, but John Laurinaitis who was the Head of Talent Relations confirmed the story.

Massaro's attorney released a statement and Vince McMahon allegedly ruined her career after she rejected his advances. Vince would embarrass her via storyline and mock her publicly in front of the locker room. Massaro committed suicide in 2019 at the age of 39 years old.

1. What Is Vince's Legacy?

One of the final questions of the documentary is what Vince's legacy will be. It was the hardest question for those interviewed in the documentary, and some just don't answer the question. Tony Atlas answered the question and called him "the greatest promotor of all time". Dave Meltzer said that "in his prime, he was a creative genius, but he was far from a Saint". David Shoemaker called McMahon's legacy a problematic and deplorable human being. Vince McMahon believes that he has no legacy at all.

My Thoughts On Episode 6

I will start by giving my view on Vince's Legacy. He may be the greatest promoter in pro wrestling, but his legacy is forever rotten with all the shady stuff he did. He should not be glamorized because of it, and it's a shame that Vince abused his power. He has done more harm to the business than good.

How these people talk about concussions angered me. Stone Cold doesn't come across well with his comments on concussions and CTE. Vince McMahon is full of it when claiming Undertaker was not concussed at WrestleMania XXX. It's stunning that Bruce Prichard is still employed with WWE, especially after his comments on the documentary.

What happened to Ashley Massaro is a disgrace. I hope Dark Side of The Ring does an episode on her to give further details of what happened.

My advice to Vince, get your lawyers ready. With the federal government going after him, he is not going to come out of this one. I hope if Vince is facing jail time that they throw the book at him.

As for this documentary series, it was very well made. It should have been a little longer to cover everything in detail, but it's likely that the producers only got 6 episodes. Besides that, if you have not watched this go do it now.
