Intriguing NFL Week 3 Picks & Predictions Against The Spread

After a solid week two performance, posting a 3-1 record, totaling a 7-4 record on the season. Underdogs were the biggest winners in week two, with underdogs going 9-5-1 ATS and 7-8 SU; the last time seven underdogs won outright in week two was only twice in 2016 and 2018. Enough of week two; let's get into the games I like on the week three slate.

NFL Week 3 Picks & Predictions

Bears at Colts Prediction

NFL WR DJ Moore
Chicago Bears WR DJ Moore

The Bears and Colts are looking to rebound after their week two losses. The Bears' offense has struggled to find its footing. While people want to point out Caleb Williams's play tossing two interceptions against the Houston Texans, the offensive line hasn't kept him clean. However, the Bears offense has a chance to find some positive momentum facing a Colts defense that has let up back-to-back 150-yard games from Joe Mixon and Josh Jacobs, with Anthony Richardson struggling early on, tossing three touchdowns to four interceptions facing a tough Bears defense, and the Bears likely being able to run the ball against a porous Colts defense who likely will be without defensive tackle DeForest Buckner. I like the Bears in this matchup.

Prediction

Bears 17 Colts 10

Best Bet

Bears +1.5

Eagles at Saints Prediction

NFL QB Derek Carr
New Orleans Saints QB Derek Carr

Is it time to say the Saints are...good? After a week one shellacking of the Panthers, I still had questions about whether the Saints were good or were just that bad, but now it is time to buy into the Saints hype after the 44-19 stomping over the Cowboys. Saints offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak has completely revitalized Derek Carr, leading the league in touchdowns and QBR. The Eagles' passing game struggled to find consistency with star wide receiver A.J. Brown out, and Brown is expected to miss this game as well. The Eagles' defense has also struggled, allowing the Packers to average 7.1 yards per play in week one, and the Falcons averaged 6.6 yards per play. The Saints improve to 3-0 and again prove they are legit.

Prediction

Saints 27, Eagles 21

Best Bet

Saints -2.5

49ers at Rams Prediction

Unfortunately, both sides have a slew of injuries because, on paper, these are two of the best rosters and coaching staffs in the NFL. The Niners are without Christian McCaffery and Deebo Samuel, and the Rams are missing star wide receivers Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. I believe the 49ers have the deeper roster and will have enough firepower to beat the lowly Rams.

Prediction

49ers 31 Rams 20

Best Bet

49ers -7.5

Lions at Cardinals Prediction

Coming off a home loss to the Buccaneers, we've seen Dan Campbell-led teams bounce back after a loss. The Lions played a sloppy game against the Buccaneers, struggling to convert in the red zone, going one for seven, and quarterback Jared Goff tossing two interceptions. The Lions will clean up the mistakes from week two, and it looks like what we've come to expect from Dan Campbell's led Lion teams.

Prediction

Lions 31 Cardinals 24

Best Bet

Lions -3
