Jalin Hyatt Has a Tough Path To Fantasy Relevance

The New York Giants took a chance on Jalin Hyatt in 2023 by selecting him in the third round of the 2023 draft. Last season, Hyatt showed some flashes and even started a few games for the Giants. Hyatt was targeted 40 times and had 23 receptions for 373 yards. He did not score a touchdown at all last season. Hyatt had only one top-24 finish in his rookie year, Week 12 as WR24.

For a rookie, Hyatt has the potential to break out with another year of development. However, in the stats provided above, there were only three games in which he had more than 30 receiving yards. Hyatt is also on a team with many players competing for the number 2 or 3 receiver spot.

Unfortunately, he was essentially a part-time player, missing 7 games out of 15 weeks. The Giants added a legitimate Receiving threat with the 6th pick overall in April in Malik Nabers, which doesn't make Hyatt's path to targets any easier.

Hyatt is a fantasy prospect with a high ceiling but potentially a low floor. A late-round pick in fantasy football would be the best way to handle Hyatt in the draft room.

Our consensus projections for Hyatt in the 2024 season are 36 receptions, 506 yards, and 3 touchdowns.
