Jase McClellan's Fantasy Outlook For 2024
The Atlanta Falcons drafted Jase McClellan (5’11 212) with the 186th overall pick in the 6th round after he spent four seasons with Alabama, where he racked up 355 carries for 1981 yards (5.6 yards per reception) and 18 rushing touchdowns. He also added 40 receptions for 409 yards (10.2 yards per reception) and 6 receiving touchdowns.
This means he averaged around 6.1 yards every time he touched the ball. Unfortunately for the McClellan stans, he lands in a very solid running back room with Bijan likely to command a CMC-type workload, Allgeier has had a 1000-yard rushing season before, and now he's the clear backup.
Without an injury, it will be difficult for Jase to build any sort of consistent volume with two young, dynamic backs in front of him. His cost is a waiver wire add, so if you're a Bama fan and want him on your roster, go for it, but he won't add to it in most circumstances.
Our consensus projections for McClellan in the 2024 season are 32 carries for 145 yards and 1 rushing touchdown and no receptions.
