Jawhar Jordan Has A Tough Path To Fantasy Value

Jawhar Jordan was drafted by the Houston Texans with the 205th pick in the 6th round after a five-year career in college. His first three seasons did not amount to much: 66 touches for 416 yards (6.3 yards per touch) and 1 touchdown. In his last two seasons, he had 354 touches for 2274 yards (6.4 yards per touch) and 18 touchdowns.

At 5’9, 172 pounds, Jordan does not profile as a high-volume back. He can catch passes, but he isn’t a special receiver. The Texans brought in Joe Mixon to be their featured ball carrier, and the Texans system is a branch of the 49ers who typically utilize one main back, so it will be difficult for Jordan to break through early on in his career.

Jordan will have an uphill battle to be a productive member of any fantasy team. Leaving him off your draft boards wouldn’t be the worst idea you've ever had, though.

Our consensus projections for Jordan in the 2024 season are 40 carries for 144 yards and 1  rushing touchdown. As well as 3 receptions, 17 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
