Jim Harbaugh Has Left His Sinking Ship
Any good captain never leaves his ship and crew behind, exactly what Jim Harbaugh has done. Harbaugh will be leaving Michigan to be the next head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers.
Michigan had an incredible three-year run the past three seasons, beating Ohio State, making the playoffs, and finally winning a title. Still, it comes with one of the most extensive cheating allegations in the history of sports, and Harbaugh, like the coward he is, wasn't going to wait around and see what punishment the NCAA would bring down for cheating.
Harbaugh left his ship that was starting to sink, and now it looks like offensive coordinator Sherrone Moore will be the new head man and will have to face the punishment the NCAA could hand out.
Harbaugh got off easy in all of this, and I know the NFL said they could punish him if the NCAA finds him guilty of any allegations, but what will they do? The NFL has wanted Harbaugh back in the league for a long time now, and the first thing they do is suspend him for something that happened at the college level. Give me a break. That isn't happening.
Harbaugh is following in Pete Carroll's footsteps. Carroll left USC right when they were about to get hit with NCAA sanctions due to paying star running back Reggie Bush, and Carroll jumped to the NFL and became the Seattle Seahawks head coach.
Harbaugh is a great football coach, and he has won everywhere he has gone, but at the end of the day, when the going gets tough, Harbaugh gets ongoing, and he will not take any responsibility for himself and his program's mistakes.
