Line: Kentucky -1.5

Total: 44.5 points

Moneyline: UK -120 | UF -105 The Gators have dropped consecutive games in the series for the first time since 1976-77 and are trying to avoid their first three-game losing streak against Kentucky since legend Bear Bryant was the Wildcats’ coach.

Bryant and UK won four in a row against Florida between 1948 and 1951.

Florida dominated the series in the decades that followed, at least until recently. The Wildcats, who lost 31 straight to the Gators between wins in 1986 and 2018, have won three of the last five and had legitimate chances to eke out victories in 2017 and 2019.

Florida has lost 14 of its last 16 games away from Florida Field, a staggering stretch of futility for a program accustomed to competing for championships. Coach Billy Napier’s team will try to end a five-game skid in road or neutral-site games when it plays at Kentucky (4-0, 1-0) on Saturday.

Three Game Keys

1. Turnover battle. Not handing over the football is always crucial, but especially in this series. UK kept the margin even or slightly in its favor in recent wins over Florida and given how up and down the Wildcats have played offense, it will be key to maintain control against a Gator defense that ranks fifth nationally in total production and is 1st in the SEC against the pass.

2. Get physical. Kentucky ranks 11th by running the ball for 5.5 yards per carry on average. Key to that production is senior transfer tailback Ray Davis. He's averaging 6.3 yards per touch and has scored five times, plus he's fourth in the SEC with 314 total yards. Florida is 20th in FBS allowing 94 rushing yards per game, but that total swells to 108 in road games.

3. Stop the run. Florida has a strong backfield of Montrell Johnson and Trevor Etienne, a duo that averages 8.4 yards per carry combined. Together they hit the point of attack with burst and strength and have the patience to wait for their blocks. UK's front line, led by Deone Walker at tackle, is in for a fight.
