Khalil Herbert Missed His Shot As A Fantasy Stud?

Khalil Herbert has been a very consistent and moderately productive player since he entered the league; with 6 RB1 (top 12 weekly finish) finishes in his career, he has won people weeks, but 6 times out of 42 weeks is not exactly easy to predict when he would be useful for your fantasy team. He is still on the Bears, who drafted Roschon Johnson and then went out and added D'Andre Swift as the first player signed in this free-agency period.

To make matters worse, Herbert has missed 11 games in the last two seasons; even though he looked good last season in Weeks 16 and 17, putting up RB11 and RB10 weeks in the fantasy playoffs, it's tough to trust him for fantasy moving forward.

He isn't a great pass catcher and is much smaller than Roschon, who should be the goal-line back for this team, meaning he would have to rely on big plays, which isn't his strong suit either. He would be a fringe RB1 if he were on a team like Dallas, so monitor his trade market if you have him in the dynasty or want to pick him up on the wire.

Our consensus projections for Herbert in the 2024 season are 64 carries for 313 yards and 2  rushing touchdowns. As well as 8 receptions, 41 yards, and 0 touchdowns.
