Kyle Pitts: The Most Polarizing Player In Fantasy Football

One of the most divisive players in fantasy, Pitts was one of the most highly touted TE prospects we have ever seen. He delivered the first 1,000-yard season by a rookie since Mike Dikta in 1961.

The bottom quickly fell out, as he had a combined 1,023 yards over his last two seasons, albeit an injury-plagued sophomore season. Maybe more concerning is that he averaged just 2 touchdowns per season over his first three. However, Pitts has dealt with incredibly bad and inconsistent quarterback play and very questionable playcalling over his career.

Even during this time, Kyle Pitts could put together 5 TE1 weeks in 2023 (TE8, TE3, TE12, TE7, TE10) throughout the season. He also had 6 TE2 finishes; in the other 6 games, he was a TE3 or worse.

With Kirk Cousins coming to town, a QB who has consistently targeted his tight ends throughout his career, and Zac Robinson from the Sean McVay coaching tree to call plays, there is reason to expect a true fourth-season breakout. Of all the tight ends being drafted in the top 10, Pitts has the largest gap between his ceiling and floor. It's a big risk but a potential big reward.

Our consensus projections for Pitts in the 2024 season are 88 receptions, 1108 yards, and 7 touchdowns.
