Lakers Seek To Add Superstar

I wonder who the Lakers could be targeting this off-season to bolster their roster. Kendrick Perkins has hinted that they're looking to add a superstar to the team. I guess that they're looking for a guard, specifically one who is a good shooter. Perkins recently suggested on The Pat McAfee Show that the "Superstar is the perfect fit not only for Lebron, but a match made in Heaven for Anthony Davis."

Three Free Agent Options To Look At

We can only speculate, but there are three free-agent guards that come to mind. The first one is" Tyrese Maxey, who is having his best season yet. With Embiid being injured once again, The Process" could be restarting any day now. Maxey is also a free agent this summer and is due for a huge contract.

The question is whether he wants to win or waste his career away in Philly. Tyrese is currently shooting 37% from the 3-point line and 44.9% from the field. He's averaging 25.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 6.4 assists per game. Maxey would take all the pressure off LeBron and Anthony Davis, making him a "perfect fit" in my mind.

Another likely free agent that could be available this summer is Jrue Holiday, who has a player option. If he declines this option, he will become a free agent and be available for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Holiday not only brings experience but is also an excellent 3-point shooter, shooting 44% from the three this season. However, he's only averaging 13 points per game, and it seems like he's due for a new scenery - a place that needs him and can use his skills and experience.

And last, but certainly not least, we have Klay Thompson. Klay's contract is up this year, which could be a good thing. Imagine if Klay Thompson joined forces with Lebron James and Anthony Davis - it would be incredible.

This could even open doors for Curry to finally play with LeBron as well, resulting in an instant championship ring. However, let's take a closer look at Klay Thompson's performance this year. He is currently shooting 37% from three and 42% from the field, which is somewhat of a down year for Klay, despite averaging 17 points per game. So, it might be time to split up the Splash Brothers.
