Lebron James Should've Swallowed His Pride And Joined His Biggest Rival

James made a huge mistake on this one; he should have swallowed his pride, gone ring-chasing, and joined one of the best NBA teams we have seen in the last ten years and the best shooter in the sport's history, Steph Curry.

James faced the Warriors in four straight NBA Finals as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2015-2018 and was 1-3 in them but had maybe the best finals run ever in 2016 when the Cavs fell three games to one against the Warriors who had the best regular NBA season record ever at 73-9.

James and the Cavs would win three straight games to give the Cavs their first NBA Title and Cleveland's first championship in 52 years.

Warriors and James have had some beef over the years, and most of it stems from those final runs, but at the end of the day, Curry and Warriors forward Draymond Green have a great relationship with James.

The Los Angeles Lakers currently sit in the ninth spot. The Warriors sit in the tenth spot in the Western Conference, so it's not like the Warriors are even better than the Lakers. Still, both teams will likely be in the NBA playoff play-in games, and if James had gone to the Warriors, they would have been favored to win in the play-in games and even make a solid run to the NBA Finals.

James and Curry sit with four NBA rings, and they could've gotten close to reaching five together. Another ring for James would've put him one behind Michael Jordan, who many view as the best player of all time, and would've been his fourth ring with four different teams, winning two with the Miami Heat, one with the Cavaliers and Lakers.

James will be 40 years old at the end of 2024 and doesn't have much time left in his NBA career to find that fifth ring. After this season, he will have a player option that could result in him opting out and testing free agency.

A few factors led James not to want to leave the Lakers and join the Warriors, and leaving the city of Los Angeles is one of them. Still, when it comes to basketball, he probably didn't want to be the guy who had to join a fourth team to win a ring, join the Warriors, who he went up against in four finals and even in last year's playoff, leave his buddy Anthony Davis and even not being the main guy in the Bay Area.

You know James loves being the main guy in the spotlight, and if he had gone to the Warriors, he would be walking into Curry's team and city, and he would be the second fiddle; Kevin Durant found that out the hard way.

Wouldn't it have been cool to see James and Curry team up? James is one of the best passers and creators we have ever witnessed, and Curry is the best shooter in the NBA. They would've been perfect together.

It's too bad the NBA world won't be able to see it, but who knows? James may change his mind this summer when he can become a free agent.
