Lex: Giants-Seahawks 2022 Final Injury Report

The New York Giants will travel to Washington to take on the Seattle Seahawks this Sunday. Big Blue hopes to come away with a win as they enter the bye. But an overwhelming number of injuries may factor into those plans.

Big Blue has been able to overcome most of their injuries en-route to a 6-1 record, but Week eight may represent the most-injured they’ve been thus far. But Seattle is not exactly the epitome of health, either.

Giants-Seahawks Injury Report

Big Blue

Out: WR Kenny Golladay (knee), OLB Oshane Ximines (quad), CB Cor’Dale Flott (calf), TE Daniel Bellinger (eye), OL Evan Neal (knee), OL Ben Bredeson (knee)

Doubtful: N/A

Questionable: OL Tyre Phillips (toe), DB Jason Pinnock (foot), DL Leonard Williams (elbow)

Leonard Williams, who has been limited in practice all week, missed playing time earlier this year after suffering a sprained knee in Week two against the Carolina Panthers. Big Kat returned in Week 6 to face the Ravens and he was also active last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Leonard has taking pride in his availability, so it’s believed that he will be good to go for Sunday’s game at Seattle, though whether he will be on a pitch count remains to be seen.

The G-Men also listed defensive back Jason Pinnock and offensive tackle Tyre Phillips as limited for Sunday. Phillips is expected to start for the injured Evan Neal at right tackle, so his situation bears watching.

Evan Neal having been declared out of Sunday’s game, the Giants will also be without tight end Daniel Bellinger, guard Ben Bredeson, corner Cor’Dale Flott, receiver Kenny Golladay, and linebacker Oshane Ximines.

Joshua Ezeudu is projected to get the start for Bredeson at left guard. And although Golladay is inactive, there is hope that he’ll be ready to return to practice after the Giants’ Week 9 bye.

Brian Daboll says he’s “leaning that way” on having same offensive line vs. Seahawks that finished last Sunday:

LT Andrew Thomas LG Josh Ezeudu C Jon Feliciano RG Mark Glowinski RT Tyre Phillips

Seahawks (Or as I call them- “The Seachickens”)

Out: LB Nick Bellore (concussion, did not participate)

Doubtful: WR Penny Hart (hamstring, did not participate)

Questionable: WR Tyler Lockett (hamstring/ribs, limited participation), CB Sidney Jones IV (groin, full participation), WR DK Metcalf (knee, limited participation), OLB Darrell Taylor (groin, limited participation), G Gabe Jackson (hip/knee, limited participation), DE Poona Ford (ankle, limited participation), G Phil Haynes (concussion, full participation)

The Seahawks head into Sunday’s game with several key players listed as questionable, including top receivers Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf. Lockett was also listed as questionable last week. Tyler played against the Chargers, but in addition to the hamstring injury he has been dealing with, he had a rib injury added to the report on Friday. Seahawks Head Coach Pete Carroll said Lockett had an oblique injury show up on Thursday, and Lockett was limited in Friday’s practice. Metcalf, who left last week’s game with a knee injury, did not practice Wednesday or Thursday, then did limited work Friday.

Also questionable is guard Phil Haynes, who left last week’s game with a concussion, as well as guard Gabe Jackson (knee/hip), who has missed the last two games with Haynes starting in his place. Outside linebacker Darrell Taylor, who has a sack/forced fumble in each of the past two games, is questionable with a groin injury, while defensive end Poona Ford is questionable with an ankle injury.

The Seahawks will be without linebacker and special teams captain Nick Bellore, who left last week’s game with a concussion, while receiver Penny Hart is doubtful with a hamstring injury.
