Luka Is The BEST Point Guard In The NBA

For the past couple of years there has not been a point guard in the NBA better or more skilled than Luka Doncic.

Why Luka?

Luka Doncic is currently number five on the NBA MVP ladder. He is currently averaging 33.7 points(leading all guards), 8.4 rebounds(leading all guards), and 9.2 assists per game(third among all guards). What makes this more impressive is that Luka is shooting 49% from the field on 23 shots attempted and 38% from three-point range attempting about 10 threes a game. Luka is also leading the NBA in total points with 978. Luka is in second place in total triple-doubles with six this season. He is keeping the Mavericks afloat in the west with a record of 18-14 placing them 6th.

Unreal Stats And Making History

Luka seems to break a new NBA record each season or put up an unrealistic stat line. Just last season he became the first player in NBA history to record a 60-point, 20-rebound, and 10-assist triple-double.

This season Luka became the first player in NBA history to lead a team in points, rebounds, and assists in the first three games.

At just 24 years old Luka Doncic already has six 50-point games in his career. This places him in 22nd place all-time. Before this season is over he will most likely have 2 or 3 more. Besides his rookie season, Luka has not averaged less than 28 points per game and has not shot worse than 45% from the field. He is not just a gifted scorer, but also a gifted passer. His rookie season was his career low in assists averaging only six assists per game. After that, he has not averaged less than eight assists per game.

Playoffs

For his playoff career, Luka has averaged 32.5 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 7.9 assists per game. He has shot 47% from the field and 36% from three. In just his first-ever playoff series at the age of 20 years old Luka averaged 31 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game shooting 50% from the field and 36% from three. Even though the Mavericks lost that series against the Clippers in six games, Luka hit a game-winner in game 4 putting the NBA on notice.

In that same game, Luka also recorded 43 points, 17 rebounds, and 13 assists on 58% from the field and 40% from three. Luka is only 24 years old and already has carried the Mavericks to the Western Conference Finals.

Luka has a chance to win MVP this season, but the Mavericks' record might be the reason he does not win the award. He has already cemented himself as the best and most skilled point guard in the NBA. With the right co-star, Luka Doncic will not only win MVP but can help the Mavericks win another championship.
