Marching Into Madness: College Basketball

College basketball is back baby! As I look at the board this morning, I'm feeling excited. However, I must admit that I do not have many futures right now as I think anything can happen in this season. The only bet I have made is on Alabama, as I am a fan and I believe they are an underrated team with great potential. I placed my bet at 35 to 1, I think I found tremendous value here. It has come down to 25 to 1 since. Which is great movement for me. I would talk about the Top 25, but just like in college football, these pre-season rankings mean nothing to me.

A Look At The Board

It's an interesting board today. I have noticed a lot of "ratty" movement in the betting lines. Whenever I describe something as "ratty" or a "rat," it means that I prefer to avoid it. In particular, I am referring to the Georgia vs. Oregon game. At first glance, it might seem like a good idea to take Georgia at +6.5, but since the line opened at +4.5 I think it's a stay-away. When I see movement like that, I think it's Vegas begging you to take Georgia. I think it's best to stay away unless you're feeling dangerous and take Oregon.

I have a few other betting options for today. I'm interested in two unders this evening. The first one is UNC vs Radford at 141.5. I believe that Caleb Love's transfer will be a great thing for this team. UNC will likely start strong and play solid defense throughout the game. The second under I like is NC Central vs Kansas at 141.5, but I see this all together being an offensive struggle for both teams.

I'm looking forward to an exciting year for college basketball. There are some great transfers at Alabama, one of whom is Grant Nelson from North Dakota State. He may not be a well-known name like Brandon Miller, but I believe he has the potential to make significant contributions to Alabama basketball alongside Mark Sears. Both players have been named to the Pre-Season 2nd Team All-SEC. I am optimistic about our chances of having an improved defense, thanks to the offseason changes made by Coach Oats.

The road to March begins here! I believe that this year's championship is more unpredictable than ever before. I'm excited for the thrilling upsets and one-sided victories. I wish all the teams, players, and coaches the best of luck. If you're betting on the games, feel free to share your thoughts in the comments!
