More Than A Coach's Wife: Miss Terry's Impact
Some believe that Jalen Milroe, Dallas Turner, or Caleb Downs are the MVPs of Alabama's football team. However, I have a different opinion. The person who deserves the most credit is Miss Terry. Although she doesn't play on the field, her "coaching" Saban and her passion for the game have significantly impacted the team.
Who?
It's possible that the casual fan may not be aware of the significant role that Miss Terry plays for the Alabama team and its fans. She is often referred to as the Queen of Alabama. In case you didn't know, Miss Terry is the one who wears the pants in the relationship with Coach Saban. She is the reason why he eats his Little Debbie Oatmeal Pies every morning.
Her Impact
Moreover, she is the reason why the team made a switch. Although she missed the Mississippi State game, she watched it on TV. After the game, Saban revealed in a press conference that Miss Terry coached him up and told him to start chewing players out again when they don't do their job. Which is what was needed. Which is why I'm writing this and why she left the SEC Championship game to a standing ovation.
It's clear that without Miss Terry, the most resilient Saban-coached Alabama team wouldn't exist. This team was written off after losing to Texas and after a disastrous offensive performance at USF. However, all that led to the best coaching job for Saban since 2003 when he lost by ten to Florida at home but went on to win the National Championship. So this is to you, Miss Terry. Thank you! You are the real MVP!
