New York Giants 2023 Mock Draft Quarterbacks

The New York Giants are 2-1 to start the 2022 NFL season, but it is never too early to talk about the 2023 NFL Draft. General manager Joe Schoen has been attending games in college football to see who is potentially their next franchise quarterback.

The New York Giants are going to be drafting a quarterback in the 2023 NFL Draft class no matter what happens with Daniel Jones after this season. Jones feels like a bridge quarterback to whoever is going to be the next franchise quarterback for the New York Giants.

There have been plenty of mock drafts going on throughout the 2022 NFL regular season already. Who are some of the potential quarterbacks for the New York Giants eyeing on through the first few weeks of the college football season though?

Bryce Young, Alabama

Bryce Young is projected to be the first quarterback taken in the 2022 NFL Draft. He is going to be one of the top two picks in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft. Joe Schoen can scout him all he wants to, but they will most likely not get him unless the New York Giants lose out.

New York will want to win games this year because they want to build a foundation under head coach Brian Daboll. Young will most likely go to the Houston Texans at the top of the NFL Draft to replace Davis Mills. Bryce Young has completed 68.6% of his passes for 1,029 yards passing, 13 touchdowns, and two interceptions in four games so far this season for the University of Alabama.

C.J. Stroud, Ohio State

This is another quarterback that is going to be near the top of the draft board in 2023. C.J. Stroud. Stroud can also be taken number one, but he will be number two most likely. The Carolina Panthers or the Seattle Seahawks will definitely be in contention for him.

C.J. Stroud plays for Ohio State. He has completed 70.5% of his passes for 1,222 yards, 16 touchdowns, and one interception. Stroud is going to be a very good quarterback in the NFL and a possible long shot for the New York Giants to get him.

Will Levis, Kentucky

Will Levis is going to be an interesting quarterback in the upcoming 2022 NFL Draft Class. He can vary from somewhere between the top five and the top ten or 15. This quarterback could be in reach for the New York Giants. He is more of a prototypical quarterback and a long-term project. Schoen and Daboll know a thing or two about long-term projects with Josh Allen with the Buffalo Bills.

Levis plays at the University of Kentucky. He has completed 67.5% of his passes for 1,185 yards passing, 10 touchdowns, and four interceptions. Will Levis is most likely to be the third quarterback off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft Class.

Anthony Richardson, Florida

Anthony Richardson is a first-round talent but needs a lot of work with the right coaching at the next level. The New York Giants may not have to trade up to get him depending on where the draft board falls and where he is projected to go next draft.

Richardson has speed. He has only completed 53.7% of his passes for 876 yards passing, two touchdowns, and five interceptions. This feels like a quarterback who needs a year or two on the bench before playing a single down in the NFL.

Most Likely Scenario For Now: New York Giants trade up for Will Levis.
