New York Giants 2024 Seven Round Mock Draft

By Peter Andrisani (The Mock Draft Guy)

A year removed from a surprising playoff appearance, the New York Giants currently hold the Sixth overall pick after going 6-11 in the 2023-24 NFL Season. With uncertainties all over the roster, it’ll be interesting to try and gauge which direction General Manager Joe Schoen and Head Coach Brian Daboll will want to take the team. So I decided to take a crack at it, here is my Seven Round 2024 New York Giants Mock Draft.

The New York Giants TRADE

The New York Giants trade the sixth overall pick to the Atlanta Falcons for the eighth overall pick & #43.

With Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers off the board Already, there is no reason why The Giants shouldn’t look to trade down and acquire at least an extra Day Two pick. That’s exactly what we did here. Now we are in business, baby.

#8- Rome Odunze (WR) Washington

The Giants haven’t had a 1,000-yard receiver since 2018…. This pick is pretty self-explanatory. Odunze is capable of winning on all three levels and will be an impact player from day one. Why don’t we let Daniel Jones operate with an ACTUAL Number One receiver before we cast judgment, eh?

#39- Byron Murphy II (DT) Texas

The Reigning Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year might not be the pick you expected here. Dexter Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux can’t do it alone in terms of creating pressure. With Jihad Ward an unrestricted Free agent and Azeez Ojulari constantly missing time, Murphy would be an instant impact player that would force Dexter Lawrence into more on-one situations.

#43- Christian Haynes (OG) UCONN

Christian Haynes is possibly the best pure guard Prospect in the 2024 Draft Class. The Giants are in desperate need of an interior offensive line upgrade, as they gave up 85(!!!) Sacks during the 2023-24 Season.

#47- Tyler Nubin (S) Minnesota

Talk about a playmaker in the secondary. The 6’2” 210 Pound safety can play all over the defense. He would be a great “Moneybacker” in sub packages, just like what Landon Collins used to do so well. Dane Belton looks like a promising player, but with Xavier McKinney being a free agent currently, I can’t justify passing up on an elite safety talent.

#70- Bucky Irving (RB) Oregon

Don’t sleep on my man, Bucky. The Giants are between a rock and a hard place with Saquon Barkley. He is a huge part of the Giants offense, but does that justify the huge price tag he will command? Even if he comes back, Irving is an electric three-down type of running back that can play a Tony Pollard Type of role for now, until he’s ready to take over the full-time job.

#103- Anthony Belton (OT) NC State

Belton is a Phenomenal athlete for his size (6’6” 328 Pounds). While he isn’t as polished as other Tackles in the class, he provides some tremendous upside, especially if the Giants want to move Evan Neal to Right Guard.

#134- Curtis Jacobs (LB) Penn State

The Giants love Day 3 Linebackers. Jacobs is an incredible athlete for the position and offers a ton of speed and play-making ability against the run. Despite his smaller frame (6’1” 237 Pounds), Jacobs would be an excellent addition to the Linebacker position that already boasts Bobby Okereke and Micah McFadden.

#167- Quinton Newsome (CB) Nebraska

The Giant could be in the market for a corner that has the versatility to play in the slot, and the size to play on the boundary, and that’s Newsome. At 6’3” 190 pounds with 4.42 Speed, Newsome is an all-around solid playmaker who can cover well in one of the most underrated positions in the NFL (Nickel Corner).
