New York Yankees Star Player Found Out He Was Allergic To His Batting Gloves In A Crazy Story
New York Yankees outfielder Alex Verdugo is having a season to forget in his first year with the Yankees, and some of that might be due to the pain he has been experiencing in his arm, hands, and wrists.
Randy Miller from NJ.com reported on Friday that Verdugo found out that the pain he has been dealing with is caused by being allergic to chemicals in his batting gloves.
The 28-year-old outfielder has been dealing with this pain for three years, and it started when he was a member of the Boston Red Sox in 2021.
This story of Verdugo being allergic to his batting gloves is something a person might never hear of again.
The batting gloves could be why he has struggled this season. He is only batting .213 with ten home runs and 52 RBIs after coming into the season as a .281 hitter.
Verdugo will have to find a new solution to his batting gloves. There is a chance he doesn't wear any and goes bareheaded like legends of the past or uses special gloves that don't use the chemicals he is allergic to.
Verdugo could return to being the hitter he once was because there shouldn't be any more pain, and can focus on baseball without the pain being part of his game.
