Noah Fant Could Be A Fantasy TE1 For The Seahawks
Entering the NFL, Fant was seen as an extremely athletic tight end with the receiving upside to be a top-five fantasy tight end. That hasn’t happened yet, and it doesn’t seem like it will, but Fant has a chance to produce for fantasy this season. Fant started his career with the Broncos, where he put up solid numbers every season, but he was included in the Russell Wilson trade and hasn’t been as productive in Seattle.
A large reason his production has slipped is that the Seahawks used so many different tight ends and pass catchers. Fant was fighting with Will Dissly and Colby Parkinson at tight end the last two seasons, which led to an inconsistent role in the offense. This off-season, both Dissly and Parkinson found new homes, and Fant found himself an extension with the Seahawks to be the team's official TE 1.
Most tight ends selected this late in drafts are not full-time players, but Fant should see a lot of snaps as the clear TE 1 in Seattle, making him worth a flier late in drafts. Fant has as good a shot as any player late in drafts at his position to stick as a full-time starter for fantasy teams.
Our consensus projections for Fant in the 2024 season are 25 receptions, 307 yards, and 1 touchdown.
