Ohio State Adds A Star In The Making
The Ohio State Buckeyes are ready to get back to the one and only goal. To win the National Championship. It has been three years since the team's last appearance, a 52-21 blowout loss to Alabama in the Natty, and the Buckeyes have been trying to get back ever since. The team missed the playoffs last season after finishing 11-2 but losing to Michigan in The Game and a lackluster Cotton Bowl loss to Missouri with most starters out. With questions at quarterback, new teams entering the Big 10, and the 12-team playoff arriving this season, it will be a huge offseason for Ohio State University.
Julian Sayin Has Elite Potential At Ohio State
The team landed a huge transfer in former Alabama quarterback Julian Sayin. A former five-star recruit in the class of 2024, Sayin joins a young but exciting quarterback room along with senior transfer Will Howard, sophomore Devin Brown, who saw some action last year, third-string sophomore Lincoln Kienholz, and freshman five-star recruit Air Norland. Sayin brings a lot of explosiveness to the Ohio State offense.
When he was quarterback at Carlsbad High School in California, Sayin threw for 86 touchdowns and only 10 interceptions. He added nine more touchdowns rushing as well as having an elite record (30-4).
Head coach Ryan Day has a huge decision to make come training camp. Will he go with the veteran Will Howard like he went with veteran Kyle McCord last year? Will he give Devin Brown another shot? Or will he take a chance on young Norland or Sayin, who may not have experience like the other two, but can be explosive and the future at quarterback. We will find out soon enough from Columbus, OH.
