Ohio State Gets Huge News With Latest Commitment
Updated: Jun 28, 2023
The Ohio State Buckeyes might have just found their new signal caller for the 2024 season and beyond. Four-star quarterback Air Noland committed to Buckeyes on Saturday night and is currently ranked as the seventh-best quarterback in the 2024 class by 247sports.
The Buckeyes once had the top quarterback in the 2024 class. Dylan Raiola committed to them, but he had a change of heart and decided to decommit from the program.
Joins The New Quarterback Factory
Ohio State has been a quarterback factory since head coach Ryan Day joined the Buckeyes as an assistant coach in 2017. He helped produce Dwayne Haskins, Justin Fields, and C.J. Stroud.
The Buckeyes will lose quarterback Stroud to the NFL this season, where he very well could be the first pick in the NFL draft, and quarterback Kyle McCord and Devin Brown will compete this spring and training camp to see who will be taking over for Stroud this upcoming season.
Noland will come to Ohio State for the 2024-2025 season, so we will not see him in the scarlet and gray this year.
Responds To Their Rival
Ohio State had to respond with a quarterback of their own after their rivals, the Michigan Wolverines, who have beaten them two straight seasons, got five-star quarterback Jadyn Davis to commit to them last week. Davis is the second-ranked quarterback in the 2024 class, according to 247sports.
When either Ohio State or Michigan makes a move, the other school responds with one right back. That is what Ohio State did on Saturday night.
Noland very well could be the next top quarterback to come out of Ohio State, but we will have to wait another year before we can see what he does with the Buckeyes.
