Ohio State Loses Former Coach To Huge SEC Program

Ohio State is gearing up for some spring football starting soon, and one of their former coaches will be heading down south for the 2024 season.

Former quarterback coach Corey Dennis will head down to Ole Miss and take a Player Personnel Analyst II job

Dennis was demoted in January when Ohio State hired Bill O'Brien as their new offensive coordinator and quarterback coach.

Dennis reportedly was supposed to head to Utah and take a job as an analyst on their coaching staff, but it must have fallen through because Utah never confirmed the hire.

Dennis is the son-in-law of former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer and has a lot of ties to the college coaching world.

Ohio State decided to move in a different direction at the quarterback coaching position this offseason and the offensive coordinator role. Bill O'Brien was supposed to take control of both jobs but was hired to be Boston College's head coach a few weeks ago, and now former UCLA head coach Chip Kelly will take on those duties.

Ohio State will have a new offensive look this season and a new starting quarterback.

Last year, starter Kyle McCord transferred to Syracuse in December, and they brought in Kansas State quarterback Will Howard, the leader right now, to be the starter in Week One.

The Buckeyes have huge exceptions this season after having a great offseason. Hopefully, they can capitalize on all the talent that stayed and the talent they brought in from the transfer portal and recruiting.
