The rumors about Oregon head coach Dan Lanning being favored for the Alabama job have been put to rest. Despite Nick Saban's retirement on Wednesday, Lanning has decided to stay with the Ducks.
As Matt Zenitz from 247sports.com confirms," Dan Lanning, who has been a popular name regarding the Alabama head coaching job, is staying at Oregon."
Oregon fans can now breathe a little easier knowing that their great young head coach will not attend one of the best programs in college football.
Texas A&M wanted Lanning, and he said no, and now he turns down the big dog Alabama.
It seems like Lanning loves Oregon, and fans should be thrilled because he is an excellent coach who you want to lead your program.
