Packers Activate Explosive Player Off PUP List

The Packers have a laundry list of injuries on both sides of the ball, especially the offense. However, the wait is over for this explosive player to get back on the field and help his team win.

Green Bay currently sits in second place in the NFC North at 3-5, which is not the start that the team and fans wanted. The Packers need to rally together for a few wins to get back into contention. After putting up a goose egg in the trade market, it’ll be up to the current players to get it done. With many offensive weapons dealing with lingering injuries, it’s a great sign to see another player activated off the PUP list. Sammy Watkins returned from the PUP list two weeks ago, and Randall Cobb is currently on the injured reserve.

Packers Special Teams All-Star Kylin Hill

Kylin Hill is now the third running back on the Packers’ roster. Hill started this season on the PUP list. A year ago, Hill tore his ACL in Week eight while returning a kickoff. He missed all of training camp as he nursed his injury and was designated to return three weeks ago. With only a 21-day window, the Packers officially announced Wednesday that he would join his fellow teammates on the active roster. On Tuesday, the Packers announced the release of running back Patrick Taylor, which signaled the return of Kylin.

With Amari Rodgers struggling with ball control on kick and punt returns, Kylin should replace him as soon as this weekend. Hill is in his second year with the Packers after being drafted in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL draft. Due to his torn ACL, he was limited to eight games. He was featured as a kickoff returner and rarely used out of the backfield on the offense. With Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon firmly in the driver’s seat, Kylin figures to be a special teams player once again.
