Patriots Vs. Panthers: A Complete Guide Watching And Streaming The Game Plus More Intel

This Friday, August 19th, 2022, at 7:00 PM EST, the home team New England Patriots will be facing off against the visiting Carolina Panthers at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. If you aren’t lucky enough to be in attendance, there are still many ways to watch/stream the game at home. Here’s our attempt at compiling them all.

Each year, tracking down the most accessible and cheapest ways to view NFL games becomes increasingly challenging. Due to the dwindling market for traditional options such as basic cable and satellite dishes, most fans have turned to streaming services to catch their favorite team’s games consistently and reliably.

The last few NFL seasons have frankly been a fever dream for anyone trying to use streaming services to consistently catch games scattered randomly on different streaming platforms throughout the year. However, things have taken a turn in the right direction this year with the NFL’s introduction of NFL+, an official NFL streaming service promising to provide fans with easy access to every NFL game at an affordable price of $29.99/year for basic and $79.99/year for a premium service which includes replays and coaches film of game footage (you can also pay monthly).

How To Watch The Patriots Vs. Panthers Preseason Game

The game will be broadcast on ABC in many parts of the country on Friday, August 19th, at 7:00 PM EDT. This match-up is available to watch for subscribers of the new NFL+ streaming service.

Another popular streaming service that you can watch most NFL games on (*including this game) is fuboTV. It’s not cheap, coming in at around $69.99/month, but you can cancel anytime, and if you’re in a pinch for a way to watch the game, they offer a seven-day free trial.

If you’re a resident of New Hampshire, you can watch the game on WMUR-TV. WMUR-TV out of Manchester is set to broadcast the New England Patriots preseason slate this year.

Panthers fans can watch for free via the official Carolina Panthers website if the user is within the regional broadcast area. Additionally, you can tune into the game on AM/FM radio via the affiliate stations listed here on Bostons 98.5 The Hub Official website.

Suppose you’re a resident of New England and find yourself highly desperate to watch the game. In that case, you could always walk around your neighborhood and find a good view of the game through a window, or perhaps head down to the local dive bar for some pickled eggs and game day shenanigans.

What To Look Out For With These Patriots

The Patriots were coming off a 21-23 loss to the New York Football Giants last week, and the Panthers are coming into Gillette with a victory in their pockets after winning 23-21 against the Washington Commanders. Both teams played in close games last week, and judging by the scores. It should be another close one this week. The Panthers, however, have only won one of the past six games against New England and history favors the Patriots’ chances at home this week.

We have a skirmish between the Patriots and Panthers for the second day in a row at joint practices. #ForeverNE#NFL pic.twitter.com/AeaBZCHeIv — Beyond the Monster (@BeyondtheMnstr) August 17, 2022

On Tuesday morning, the Patriots and Panthers held a joint practice that featured a couple of intense skirmishes between players from both teams and the ejection of three players from the practice. Then on Wednesday (*see above tweet ) they went at it again for the second day in a row. However, the players seem fired up, and all signs point to this being a hard-hitting, competitive, fun-to-watch preseason game. Go Pats!
