Pre-Game Report: Commanders vs Jaguars – Week 1
The Washington Commanders will open their 2022 season by hosting the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday afternoon. Let’s take a look at all the details of the game.
The Commanders will kick off the 2022 season playing at home for the third straight year. This time around they’ll face the Jaguars for the first time to start a season and the first AFC South opponent they’ve opened with since hosting Houston at RFK way back in 1979.
Not that it matters as all these players weren’t on either team the last time they played in 2018, but Washington holds a lifetime record of 7-1 against Jacksonville and is 3-0 at home against them.
Washington is coming off the heels of two seven-win seasons and a complete rebrand in the offseason. While Jacksonville has only registered four wins over the last two years but has some impressive young talent and a new head coach in Doug Pederson.
