Predicting The Los Angeles Rams 2024 Record Game-By-Game

The Los Angeles Rams exceeded expectations last year, and they'll try to build on that success in 2024. For the first time since 2014, L.A. will enter the season without Aaron Donald on the roster. The eight-time All-Pro announced his retirement in March after 10 NFL seasons.

How will the Rams fare in the post-Aaron Donald era? Here's a game-by-game prediction for the 2024 season.

Week One: At Detriot Lions (SNF)

Week One: At Detroit Lions

This is the perfect game to have on Sunday Night Football in Week One. Not only are Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff going up against their former teams, but this will also be a rematch of January's Wild Card playoff game. The crowd in Detroit will be fired up, and the Lions will take advantage of it, beating the Rams in their first game of the season.

Rams Record: 0-1

Week Two: At Arizona Cardinals

Week Two: At Arizona Cardinals

The Los Angeles Rams' first NFC West opponent is the Arizona Cardinals in Week Two. L.A. won both games against Arizona last season and has been victorious in 13 of the last 15 meetings between the two. The Cardinals will be competitive in this game, but the Rams escape with the win thanks to a last-second field goal.

Rams Record: 1-1

Week Three: Vs. San Francisco 49ers

Week Three: Vs. San Francisco 49ers

The San Francisco 49ers are arguably the best team in the NFL, and they'll be fighting for a chance to play for the Super Bowl championship again this season. San Francisco has been dominant against the L.A. since 2019, and I don't expect that to change this season. The Rams drop their second game of the campaign, falling to 1-2.

Rams Record: 1-2

Week Four: At Chicago Bears

Week Four: At Chicago Bears

The Bears will be a much-improved team this year, with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and a great supporting cast. The Week Four meeting between Chicago and Los Angeles could make for a fun, high-scoring game. While the Bears are improved, they're not ready to take down a team like the Rams, and L.A. gets back to .500.

Rams Record: 2-2

Week Five: Vs. Green Bay Packers

Week Five: Vs. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay beat the Rams 20-3 when they met last year. Los Angeles was without Matthew Stafford and was forced to start Brett Rypien, who completed 13-of-28 passes for 130 yards, an interception, and a QBR of 22.8. The Packers are probably the better team, but I have the Rams winning this one at home, thanks to four passing touchdowns from Stafford.

Rams Record: 3-2

Week Six: BYE Week

Week Six: BYE Week

After their win over the Green Bay, Los Angeles gets their BYE in Week Six. This is four weeks earlier than their break last season, while the Rams got rest in Week Seven in 2022. Although it's nice to get the BYE week as late in the season as possible, the Rams will gladly take the time to rest and get ready for a potential playoff push.

Week Seven: Vs. Las Vegas Raiders

Week Seven: Vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The biggest question for the Las Vegas Raiders is: what can we expect from the starting quarterback? Aidan O'Connell seems the starter for now, despite the team adding Gardner Minshew this offseason. O'Connell showed potential in his ten starts last season, completing 62.1% of his passes for 2,218 yards, 12 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. Without knowing what we'll get out of the Raiders offense, I'm picking the Rams to win, coming off the BYE week.

Rams Record: 4-2

Week Eight: Vs. Minnesota Vikings (TNF)

Week Eight: Vs. Minnesota Vikings (TNF)

Will Sam Darnold or J.J. McCarthy start at quarterback in week eight for the Vikings? I don't think it really matters. Minnesota will have to travel on a short week to face the Rams on Thursday Night Football, and that alone is too much for the Vikings to overcome. Los Angeles gets an easy win and improves to 5-2.

Rams Record: 5-2

Week Nine: At Seattle Seahawks

Week Nine: At Seattle Seahawks

After playing on Thursday Night last week, Los Angeles will get extra time to rest and prepare for their Week Nine meeting with the Seattle Seahawks. L.A. won both games against Seattle last season, and Stafford has a 5-3 record all-time against the Seahawks. It's never easy to win on the road in Seattle, but the Rams find a way to get it done.

Rams Record: 6-2

Week 10: Vs. Miami Dolphins (MNF)

Week 10: Vs. Miami Dolphins (MNF)

The Rams' second primetime game in three weeks comes on Monday Night Football in Week 10. If both the Dolphins and Rams are healthy, this has the potential to be one heck of a football game. The Rams' defense will struggle against Tua, Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, and Odell Beckham Jr., and the Dolphins will walk out of So-Fi Stadium with a win.

Rams Record: 6-3

Week 11: At New England Patriots

Week 11: At New England Patriots

You couldn't ask for a better bounce-back opponent after a loss than the New England Patriots. Who knows if Jacoby Brissett or Drake Maye will be the starting quarterback in Week 11, but the Pats will struggle in this game regardless. Stafford and the offense have one of their best outings of the year, and the Rams win in a blowout.

Rams Record: 7-3

Week 12: Vs. Philadelphia Eagles (SNF)

Week 12: Vs. Philadelphia Eagles (SNF)

Philadelphia had a disappointing finish to the 2023 season. But don't let that finish fool you; the Eagles are still a good team. Jalen Hurts had a great game against the Rams last season, completing 25-of-38 passes for 303 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. He added another 72 yards and a score on the ground. L.A. will have difficulty slowing down the Eagles again in this game, and Philadelphia hands the Rams their fourth loss.

Rams Record: 7-4

Week 13: At New Orleans Saints

Week 13: At New Orleans Saints

New Orleans will look to make waves in Derek Carr's second season with the team. The Saints finished second in the NFC South last season with a 9-8 record. Los Angeles beat New Orleans, 30-22, in Week 16 last season, while the Saints won against the Rams in 2022. It'll be a challenging road environment, but I have the Rams finding a way to win their eighth game of the season in Week 13.

Rams Record: 8-4

Week 14: Vs. Buffalo Bills

Week 14: Vs. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills will be without Stefon Diggs this season, but that might not be as damaging as you think. Josh Allen will still be one of the best quarterbacks in the league, and the Bills will contend not only for the AFC East title but possibly a top seed in the Conference. The Rams will experience that 'Josh Allen magic' firsthand in Week 14, as they fall to 8-5 on the year.

Rams Record: 8-5

Week 15: At San Francisco 49ers (TNF)

Week 15: At San Francisco 49ers (TNF)

The 49ers beat L.A. back in Week Three, and they'll do it again in Week 15. This loss is significant for the Rams, as it kills their chances of winning the NFC West. I expect a big game from Purdy and the offense, and San Francisco flexes their muscle as one of the best teams in the entire NFL.

Rams Record: 8-6

Week 16: At New York Jets

Week 16: At New York Jets

Aaron Rodgers has been great when facing the Rams, with a near-perfect 6-1 record. He last played L.A. in 2022, completing 73.3% of his passes for 229 yards, one touchdown and an interception. Despite his success against Los Angeles, Rodgers will struggle to generate anything on offense in this meeting, and the Rams will pull off an upset win on the road.

Rams Record: 9-6

Week 17: Vs. Arizona Cardinals

Week 17: Vs. Arizona Cardinals

The Rams beat Arizona back in Week Two, and although the Cardinals will put up a fight, Los Angeles walks away from this game with a 'W.' There could be some fantastic wide receiver talent on display here, including Puka Nacua, Copper Kupp, and rookie Marvin Harrison Jr. Arizona will be out of the playoff picture at this point in the season, while the Rams will be fighting for wild card positioning.

Rams Record: 10-6

Week 18: Vs. Seattle Seahawks

Week 18: Vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Rams will wrap up the 2023-24 regular season with a win over their divisional rival. This victory would put them at 11-6, good for second in the NFC West behind the San Francisco 49ers and sixth in the Conference. Los Angeles will play on Wild Card weekend, with hopes of winning another Super Bowl trophy.

Rams Record: 11-6
