Puka Nacua Could Break These NFL Records This Weekend
Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua has been a pleasant surprise for fans of the Super Bowl LVI Champions. Nacua was a fifth-round pick in last year's NFL Draft and is quickly becoming a household name in the NFL.
With Cooper Kupp on injured reserve to start the season, the remaining Rams' receivers were asked to step up in a big spot, and Nacua did not disappoint. Now -- 16 games into his NFL career, the 22-year-old has an opportunity to break two major rookie receiving records.

A Very Special Season
It didn't take long for the Rams to lean on the rookie in the passing game. The former BYU star caught ten passes for 119 yards. He followed that up with 147 yards on 15 catches in Week Two.
Although it took a bit for Nacua to find the endzone (if four weeks into your rookie season is considered "a bit" of time), he has recorded five total scores as we enter the final week of the regular season.
So what NFL records can Nacua break in Week 18? Let's get into that now.
The NFL Records Nacua Can Break
Puka needs just 29 yards to break the NFL's rookie receiving yards record and only four catches to set a new total for rookie receptions.
It seems likely to happen considering Nacua has only had two games this season with less than four catches. He's also only recorded two outings with less than 30 receiving yards. However, if he is going to break the record, he'll need to do so by catching passes from a new quarterback, as starting QB Matthew Stafford will be resting in Week 18.
Eighth-year signal-caller Carson Wentz will play in place of Stafford. Wentz hasn't attempted a single passing attempt this year but threw for 1,755 yards, 11 touchdowns and nine interceptions with the Indianapolis Colts in 2022. The Rams face off against the San Francisco 49ers this weekend.
