Raheem Mostert Can Repeat His 2023 Fantasy Performance
Raheem Mostert had a breakout year for the Miami Dolphins in 2023. He emerged as a key offensive weapon, scoring a league-leading 21 touchdowns. Except for Christian McCaffrey, Mostert led all backs in fantasy ppr settings.
Mostert only had two games outside the top 24 running backs. The first six weeks of the season, Mostert was a monster. Outside Week 4, he was RB18, RB5, RB2, RB11, and RB1, averaging 26.3 fantasy points a week. He cooled off a bit during the rest of the season, but not much. He still had three RB1 weeks and averaged 14 points a week, which would make him a respectable flex player.
However, Mostert is 32 and entering the final year of his contract in 2024. Over the past two years, the Dolphins have also drafted talented rookies in running backs Devon Achane and Jaylen Wright, potentially creating a crowded backfield.
How the carries will be distributed in Miami's backfield in 2024 remains to be seen. This offense and backfield are red hot, as the Dolphins finished first in offensive yards and yards per carry. If it shakes out like last year, Mostert will be a steal in redraft leagues and useful to dynasty managers who are trying to win now.
Our consensus projections for Mostert in the 2024 season are 185 carries for 953 yards and 10 touchdowns. In the receiving game, his consensus projection is 30 receptions for 221 yards and 2 touchdowns.
