Ranking Every Wide Receiver Room In The NFC West For 2024

Depth And Talent Are Key In The NFC South

While Quarterback and Running back rooms only rely on the top guy, maybe the number two in some circumstances, the receivers are different. There are three of them on the field at a time, and most of the time, even the third guy has a few hundred yards every year. Despite teams having an abundance at the position, having elite guys everywhere regarding wideouts is crucial. This begs the question, who in the NFC West has the best wide receiver core?

4: Arizona Cardinals

The Arizona Cardinals have a generational prospect in Ohio State product Marvin Harrison Jr. While Harrison is an elite prospect and one of the best of all time, the rest of the wide receiver core is not something to brag about. Second-year receiver Michael Wilson and free agency signing Zay Jones round out the top three for the Cardinals, but they aren't a top three that inspire confidence. Harrison will be the main target nearly immediately, but the Cardinals' receivers don't compare to the others in the NFC West.

3: San Francisco 49ers

Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk were among the NFL's best wide receiver duos in 2023. While this could be the case if they played together in 2024, Aiyuk has made it clear and public that he does not want to be in San Francisco after the two sides failed to meet on a contract extension. While the 49ers did draft Florida wideout Ricky Pearsall in the first round this year, the uncertainty with Aiyuk is unsettling. Outside of Samuel and Pearsall, the 49ers receivers don't have much experience compared to the other two teams ahead of them.

2: Los Angeles Rams

Two years ago, Cooper Kupp had one of the greatest statistical seasons of all time. Now paired with rookie sensation Puka Nacua, the NFL should be horrified if the pair can stay healthy. Nacua took over the number one spot on the depth chart last year after Kupp dealt with injuries that sidelined him, but the BYU alumni took over and dominated the NFL as a rookie. As long as Kupp, Nacua, and quarterback Matthew Stafford can all stay healthy, the Rams should be a force to be reckoned with.

1: Seattle Seahawks

While LA might have star power, Seattle might have the best trio of receivers in the NFL. DK Metcalf has consistently proven to be a threat as a physical specimen, Tyler Lockett has consistently been an incredible wide receiver two despite his age, and Jaxon Smith-Njigba enters his second year in the NFL looking to do damage. All three of these receivers could be low-end wide receivers or high-end wide receiver twos on nearly any team in the NFL. While they could split up in the future due to wanting the ball more, this Seahawks trio will dominate the league this season.
