Josh Giddey Double Double +170
To start the NBA props of the night, we have Josh Giddey to get at least a double-double. The triple-double at +1400 also looks good if anyone wants to try it. Over Giddey’s last two games against the Chicago Bulls, he’s had one triple-double and one double-double. Albeit they were close as he averaged just over ten points and 12 rebounds but he’s been consistent. The Bulls currently rank 28th in assists per game and Vegas has set a high total line for this game at 233.5 points. Plenty of opportunities for Giddey.
Three days ago, Giddey posted a triple-double against the Miami Heat. With his NBA history against the Bulls, a double-double should be very doable. Over the season, Giddey is currently averaging 15.5 points per game, 5.6 assists per game, and 7.9 rebounds per game. At an average of 30.9 minutes per game, he could hit this line by the end of the third quarter. This is my top play of the day, I’m confident in this plus-money line.
Buddy Hield 20+ Points -135
The Indiana Pacers will host the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night. This NBA matchup will feature two similarly ranked teams. The Pacers have been hot at home and will look to extend their seven-game home win streak. In Buddy Hield’s last three games against the Hawks, he has posted 28, 26, and 25 points. I’m kind of surprised that the line is at 20.5 for him tonight. I would play this up to 22 as the lines change throughout the night but I’m safe at 20-plus points.
Teammate Tyrese Haliburton, who got injured two days ago versus the New York Knicks will not play tonight, further hyping up Hield’s line. There have been several games recently where Hield has failed to hit 20 points but it all depends on the NBA game script. The Haliburton injury news will push Hield to attempt at least 20 shots in this game. Hield has played the most games of any Pacers player this year and he is averaging 18.3 points per game. Add this bet to your slip and sit back and relax.
Chicago Bulls -4.5 -110
I will be taking the Bulls -4.5 tonight based on their success at home. They have been able to beat up tough opponents on their home court while the Oklahoma City Thunder have struggled mightily on the road. The Bulls have big wins at home against the Utah Jazz and Brooklyn Nets. On the other side, OKC was crushed on the road by the Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets.
Something to watch for is DeMar DeRozan’s quad injury. He is unlikely to play tonight and the line has already moved because of it. Even without DeRozan in the starting lineup, Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine should be able to carry the torch to victory in front of the home crowd. The Bulls are 11-9 at home and the Thunder is 6-14 away. Chicago passes the eye test at -4.5.
NBA Player Performance Doubles Parlay +1958
Julius Randle Double Double/New York to Win CJ McCollum 28+ Points/New Orleans to Win Nikola Vucevic 12+ Rebounds/Chicago to Win Domantas Sabonis Double Double/Sacramento to Win
Make sure to get this in as early as possible since the lines will continue to bounce around. There’s no doubt around Julius Randle getting the double-double tonight as he is a perfect 8/8 in his last eight games. The New York Knicks are currently -4.5 favorites against the Washington Wizards. The Knicks are healthy and the Wizards might be without Kristaps Porzingis. These teams haven’t faced since last season when the Knicks won by 22 in April.
Even after the Detroit Pistons manhandled the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, my money is still on the New Orleans Pelicans. CJ McCollum has been on a tear this season and has only not scored 28 points or more once this season and that was back on January 2nd. Don’t let his 21.3 points per game fool you, he’s been a 30-plus point magnet over the last couple of months and will continue his feast tonight against the 29th-worst defense in the league. The Pelicans narrowly won a month ago against the Pistons but Detroit has played poorly in front of the home crowd.
With NBA star DeMar DeRozan expected to be out tonight, there will be a few more boards up for grabs and Vucevic is the guy to grab them. This 6’10” NBA Center is a double-double magnet with his rebounding ability. He’s averaging 10.9 rebounds per game. It’s been a while since these two teams played but back in November, Vucevic finished the game with 13 rebounds and the Bulls fell by four points on the road. This time around, the Bulls are hot on their home court. There’s a chance that Vucevic walks away with 12 rebounds but I’m projecting around 14 boards on the night.
Lastly, the easy leg of this NBA parlay. Domantas Sabonis has been perfect with double-doubles over his last 18 games. He’s a lock for a double-double each night and barely misses out on the triple-doubles. The Sacramento Kings will host the Houston Rockets and look to extend their win streak to three. The Rockets are currently on an eight-loss streak as they sit 15th in the Western NBA Conference. At a record of 10-31, it’s hard to imagine the Rockets upsetting the 9.5 home favorites.
