Stadium Rant’s Best NBA Prop Bets 2-01-2023

Happy first day of February! After taking a few days off due to the bookies not wanting to set NBA lines well enough in advance, we are back in action. To recap the last article posted on January 27th, the NBA best bets went 2-1 with Draymond Green slipping on us. Klay Thompson cruised past his 21.5 points line and Ja Morant squeaked over his 8.5 assists line.

Since our first sweep, our NBA articles have gone 9-2 over the last four and there’s no reason to stop. Let’s aim for another productive showing! Once again, if you enjoy this segment of Stadium Rant’s NBA best bets, please check out the Gritty Gamblers Guide for the latest NFL and UFC bets!

Jayson Tatum 25-plus Points & Over 8.5 Rebounds +120

The Boston Celtics will host the Brooklyn Nets tonight and the Celtics are huge home favorites. NBA star Kevin Durant is still out with a knee injury and Ben Simmons has also been ruled out with a knee injury, although, Ben doesn’t add much value. At first, the best bet tonight was going to be a Tatum double-double but due to the potential blowout scenario, I went safe. DraftKings currently has the double-double listed at +140 if you wish to take the gamble.

Over the last ten games, Tatum has hit over 25 points in nine of them with the one oddball being a 20-point game against Brooklyn, but don’t let that sway you. That was just a poor shooting performance by Jayson. In those same games, Tatum has posted over 8.5 rebounds in eight of those games. I’ll probably end up throwing money at the double-double later but in this article, this should almost be a guaranteed hit. We all know that there aren’t any guarantees in sports gambling, but this should be close enough.

Klay Thompson Over 22.5 Points -120

I’m back on the Klay action tonight! The Golden State Warriors will be away at the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight after playing in Oklahoma City two nights ago against the Thunder. In the month of January, Klay scored over 22.5 points three out of four times when the Warriors were away. Over his last three games, he has hit this line three straight times. The last time that we took Klay’s point total it was 21.5 and it hit, so Vegas upped it another point and I’m still all over it.

Over his last ten NBA games, he is averaging 27 points per game and hit this line eight out of ten times. On the season, he has averaged 32.5 minutes per game and 21.1 points per game. Ever since Stephen Curry’s injury in December, Klay has been a pivotal player on the court for the Warriors. Even after Curry came back, Klay has been rolling. This game is currently set at 238 total points but these two teams know how to score, which will give Klay plenty of time to shoot some threes from outside of the arc. In three straight games, he has attempted ten or more three-pointers.

NBA Same-Game Parlay -105

Ja Morant 20-plus points Ja Morant over 7.5 assists Damian Lillard 25-plus points Damian Lillard over 5.5 assists

Since the NBA longshot parlays haven’t been hitting over the last few articles, we are going to switch it up with a same-game parlay that has a high chance of hitting. If you play on DraftKings, make sure to opt-in to the NBA no sweat SGP promotion. The Memphis Grizzlies will host the Portland Trailblazers tonight to kick off the NBA action. This game will be at seven pm EST, so make sure to get your parlay in early to avoid any changes to the odds.

Ja Morant has been electric this year and his stats certainly reflect that. If you’d like to go a little higher, 25-plus points and over 9.5 assists are a little riskier but have a higher reward. The last time Ja scored less than 20 points was back on December 29 against Toronto, since then, he’s scored over 20 in 13 straight outings. Assists haven’t been as consistent as points but he’s hit this line in six straight games. In back-to-back games, Ja has produced triple-doubles with 27 points.

On the other side, Damian Lillard isn’t shy of the basket either. Lillard can be cold at times but when he’s hot, he’ll drop 60 points in a game, just like he did on January 25 against the Utah Jazz. Besides the 24 points he posted against the Los Angeles Lakers on January 22, he’s hit over this 25-point line 11 times.

Just like Ja’s line, an added risk side would be Lillard 30-plus points and over 7.5 assists, if you’re feeling lucky. He’s been cold over the last three games with his assists but has still hit this line in two of the three. A typical night for Damian involves eight-plus assists to go along with his insane amount of points.
