Survivor Picks Week 10 For 2024 NFL Season

Week Ten of the 2024 NFL season is here. As always, I will start by discussing the rules for a survivor pool. It is a weekly contest where people select one team per week, straight up, to win their game.

If a chosen team wins, it advances to the next week, but remember that the selected team can't be used for the rest of the season. If a team they chose for that week loses, it is eliminated from the pool.

Now that the rules are set, it is time for me to give my top three options: a risky pick, a trap pick, and a survivor pick that I would have made if I were still alive in Survivor. It would have been nice for Cincinnati to prepare for their first regular-season game.

1. Los Angeles Chargers (vs Tennessee Titans)

Joe Alt Los Angeles Chargers

This is the no-brainer choice of the week. Tennessee barely escaped with a win against the Patriots last week. This week they face the Chargers, who have a Top 6 defense according to DVOA. It doesn't matter who starts for the Titans, it's going to be a long day for either Mason Rudolph or Will Levis. To make it worse, Tennessee lost their center Lloyd Cushenberry for the season, due to an injury. Expect the Chargers to take care of business and dominate Tennessee in this game.

2. Chicago Bears (vs New England Patriots)

Caleb Williams Bears

With how competitive the NFC North is, every game is a must-win. Luckily for the Bears, they face the New England Patriots, who lost to the Tennessee Titans last week in overtime. Chicago is better in every way than the Patriots, excluding coaching. After the two embarrassing losses to the Washington Commanders and Arizona Cardinals, Caleb Williams and the Bears got exposed. The more Caleb gets pressured, the more he struggles. Luckily for him, the Patriots pass rushing has not been good. The Patriots run defense is even worse, and it's going to be a really strong week for D'Andre Swift, who should run all over New England in Chicago. The Bears should take care of business, and beat the Patriots easily.

3. Kansas City Chiefs (vs Denver Broncos)

Cheifs Celebrate DeAndre Hopkins Touchdown

Boy was I wrong about the Broncos last week. They got heavily exposed by the Baltimore Ravens. Now they have to face a more dominant team, in the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs offense look really good, now that they have a true number-one receiver, that isn't a piece of work like Rashee Rice is. On a side note, why has Rice not been suspended for that car wreck he caused?

The Chiefs running game has been good with the return of Kareem Hunt. Denver has a mediocre run defense, and Hunt should do a solid job in this game. The Chiefs defense should be a problem for Bo Nix, who will likely throw multiple picks in this game. While it's a divisional game, when in doubt, take the Chiefs.

Risky & Disgusting Pick - New York Giants at Carolina Panthers (AT Munich, Germany)

Daniel Jones and Brian Daboll New York Giants

This type of game is getting a risky/disgusting label for this week, only in Survivor. First off, what a terrible game to have taken place in Germany, because both teams are in the Tank Games, in the Tournament for the First Overall Pick. This is following the pick-against-Carolina strategy, which failed last week, thanks to the Saints being poorly coached. This week, the Panthers get to face a much healthier squad in the Giants, who are coached a lot better. This game being in Germany makes it tough, but besides this week, there is not another chance to take the Giants confidently in survivor, excluding maybe Week 13 if Dallas is not healthy at that time. It is either now or never to use the Giants, but if you make them your pick, it is super risky, and you are gross for even touching an international game in Survivor.

2024 Risky Survivor Pick History (6-3) - Week 1: Minnesota Vikings, Week 2: Washington Commanders, Week 3: San Francisco 49ers, Week 4: Tennessee Titans, Week 5: New England Patriots, Week 6: Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Week 7: Jacksonville Jaguars, Week 8: Arizona Cardinals, Week 9: New Orleans Saints

Trap Pick - Philadelphia Eagles (At Dallas Cowboys)

Jalen Hurts & Lane Johnson Philadelphia Eagles

It was tough making a trap choice this week. I was considering the Minnesota Vikings, but it was revealed that Trevor Lawrence is injured, and will not be playing this week. As a result of that news, the Vikings as a choice of survivor is no longer a trap. The team that I have decided to go with as this week's trap pick in Survivor, is the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Dallas Cowboys are in full panic mode. The team has a ton of injuries all over the place, and has to start Cooper Rush due to Dak Prescott's injury. Here's the issue, Philadelphia is also dealing with a lot of injuries. On offense, WR AJ Brown, WR Devonta Smith, TE Dallas Goedert, OT/OG Mekhi Becton, and et, are all dealing with an injury. Even on defense, the Eagles are banged up, so technically this game is an injury bowl matchup.

Nick Sirriani hasn't been the most phenomenal coach either. Look at last week, with his bizarre coaching in that Jaguars game, constantly going for 2. If they weren't facing the Jaguars, they would have lost that game.

Another thing to be aware of, is that Philadelphia may overlook this game. Next week they play Thursday Night against the Washington Commanders, which is incredibly important in winning the division. Stay away from the Eagles this weekend. If you haven't used them, wait until Week 14, when they play the Carolina Panthers.

2024 Trap Survivor Pick History (3-6) - Week 1: Buffalo Bills, Week 2: Indianapolis Colts, Week 3: Seattle Seahawks, Week 4: Philadelphia Eagles, Week 5: Chicago Bears, Week 6: Buffalo Bills, Week 7: Cincinnati Bengals, Week 8: New York Jets, Week 9: Baltimore Ravens

Who I Would Have Taken in Survivor - Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears Helmet

I can't use the Los Angeles Chargers, as they were my pick in Week 3. The Giants are too risky and disgusting to pick against Carolina in Germany. In Survivor, it's either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Chicago Bears. This is the only week to confidently pick the Bears, whereas the Chiefs have plenty of other weeks to use in Survivor this year. I would have saved the Chiefs and taken the Chicago Bears.

2024 My Survivor Pick History (5-4) - Week 1: Cincinnati Bengals, Week 2: Los Angeles Chargers, Week 3: Las Vegas Raiders, Week 4: Tennessee Titans, Week 5: New England Patriots, Week 6: Philadelphia Eagles, Week 7: Los Angeles Rams, Week 8: Denver Broncos, Week 9: New Orleans Saints
