Texas A&M Loses Star Quarterback For The Year.
Texas A&M star quarterback Connor Weigman injured his foot late in the second quarter of the Auburn game and what originally was thought as a minor injury has been confirmed to be a season-ending injury.
The tests originally had Weigman listed as day-to-day but further testing confirmed Aggie nation's worst nightmare. X-rays came back showing a broken bone in Weigman's foot.
Texas A&M now turns to veteran transfer quarterback Max Johnson. Johnson has started 17 out of 25 games in his career at LSU and Texas A&M. Furthermore, against Auburn, it was after Max Johnson came in when the TAMU offense was able to truly get going (21 second-half points to 6 in the first).
The Aggies have the luxury of having a starting SEC-caliber quarterback as their backup. He's more than good enough to keep this offense rolling and beat the Razorbacks. The Aggies' offense has taken a positive step this year and are 3-1 because of it - can they keep it up?
