Texas Rangers Sign World Series Star Outfielder In 20 Million Dollar Contract
On Thursday afternoon, Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News reported that the Texas Rangers and World Series star Adolis García have agreed on a 2-year contract worth up to $20.25 Million.
Garcia will receive a guaranteed $14 Million over the next 2 seasons.
Garcia has been with the Rangers since 2020 and was one of the key factors in their playoff success and World Series Championship. Garcia won quite a few awards last season including the American League ALCS MVP, 2023 All-MLB Team Two, 2023 AL Gold Glove, and the 2023 Babe Ruth Award.
Garcia not only is an amazing player, but he also brings a high-energy face to the team and could easily go down in Ranger's history with players like Adrian Beltre, who is set to be inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on the 21st.
Garcia is set for 2 years under contract and will be under club control for one more year after this pact. This may lead to another arbitration hearing situation in the 2025-2026 off-season but Rangers fans should have nothing to worry about as the team looks to hold onto this winning record after a playoff drought since losing to the Toronto Blue Jays in 2016.
