The 2024 Olympics Was A Global Catastrophe Waiting To Happen

The main purpose of the Olympics was to bring the world together. It used to be viewed as a test of human spirit, unity, and dedication until 2024. In 2024, the Olympics became corrupted by politics and conflicting viewpoints from each country that participated. The 2024 Olympics will be remembered as one of the most bizarre Olympics in history.

Global Conflict Turned The Olympics Into A Nightmare

Before the 2024 Olympics began, several countries were at war with one another, which significantly caused a conflict of interest for each country that participated. The Rule 50 Guidelines at the Olympics state that no political, racial, or religious propaganda is allowed to be expressed whatsoever because it helps ensure neutrality in the games. Still, some of the countries that participated didn't agree with the guidelines.

France was forced to ban certain countries and players from participating in the 2024 Olympics. A French lawmaker stated that Israeli Olympians are not welcome in the Olympics. The Palestinian Chief added that if Israelis were to participate, they refuse to shake their hands.

France Wanted To Make The Olympics Cheaper

France decided to give all of the sports players in the Olympics cardboard beds, rooms with no air-conditioning, and small rations of food to save money. Some of the Olympians reported feeling unsafe because thieves robbed, harassed, and attacked them. Logan Martin had the windows in his van broken by a thief who stole some of his personal belongings. An Australian hockey coach reported that his wallet was stolen and 1,500 Australian dollars was stolen from his bank account.

France Didn't (Fully) Honor The Rules

A week after the Olympics started Imane Khelif went against Angela Carini in a boxing match that only lasted 46 seconds. Angela gave up after taking two punches to the face from Imane and refused to shake her hand because the fight was unjust. Imane was later banned from participating in the Olympics because she failed a gender eligibility test, but she received $50,000 in compensation from the International Boxing Association (IBA).

Steve Van De Vilde participated in the volleyball tournament after being convicted of having sex with a 12-year-old girl in the United Kingdom. Steve friended an underage girl on Facebook in 2014 and flew from the Netherlands to the UK where he gave a minor alcohol and did some very bad things to her. The United Kingdom convicted Steve and said that they didn't feel comfortable with him representing his country at the Olympics. The IOC gave Steve special rules that other participants didn't have. Steve had accommodations to be outside of the Olympic Village during the games and was excluded from having interviews with anyone during the Olympics.

The global conflict is going to change the way the Olympics are played and regulated in the future. Some countries are going to refuse to participate in the 2025 Olympics due to the decisions that were made by the IOC during the 2024 games. We are going to see more Olympians refuse to participate in future games because of safety reasons. The Olympics are going to permanently ban boxing because of the incident between Imane Khelif and Angela Carini.
