The Big Ten And SEC Team Up To Takeover College Athletics
The Big Ten and SEC are now considered the two most giant conferences in college football, with the Big Ten adding USC, UCLA, Oregon, and Washington and the SEC adding Texas and Oklahoma in 2024.
The Big Ten and SEC are the conferences that every coach and player wants to be part of, and these new join groups formed by the Big Ten and SEC show how even more powerful the two conferences are becoming.
SEC commissioner Greg Sankey released a statement Friday stating, "There are similar cultural and social impacts on our student-athletes, our institutions, and our communities because of the new collegiate athletics environment. We do not have predetermined answers to the myriad questions facing us. We do not expect to agree on everything, but enhancing interaction between our conferences will help us focus on common sense solutions."
The Two conferences also stated they "have no authority to act independently and will only serve as a consulting body."
The Big Ten and SEC seek to solve and develop better solutions from NIL, transfer portal, and tampering.
We all know the NCAA is a corrupt organization with no leadership and intends to do whatever it wants. Still, these newly joined advisory groups by the two most significant conferences in college football could start to be the end of the NCAA if somehow other conferences pull away and try to do the same thing.
