The Browns Got Great Praise From This Big Time Media Outlet For Their Draft

Updated: Jun 29, 2023

Usually, the Cleveland Browns are always drafting high, but in the last two years, they haven’t made a pick until the third round. It is hard to draft when you don’t pick until round three, but the Browns managed to pull off some nice selections.

Pro Football Focus gave Cleveland an A- for the seven picks they made, and the Browns had some great value picks from the PFF draft board.

Cleveland took two players from Ohio State during day three, one being offensive tackle Dawand Jones and the other being center Luke Wypler.

Buckeyes Head To Cleveland

Jones was ranked 31st and Wypler was at 54 on PFF’s draft board and the Browns got them at pick 111 and 190. The Browns got huge value in selecting those two players and PFF loved it.

Cleveland didn’t draft this player, but they did sign him as an undrafted free agent, and he also went to Ohio State. Safety Ronnie Hickman signed with the Brows after the draft, and he was ranked 145th overall and wasn’t even picked.

Cleveland crushed the process of bringing in the Buckeyes and keeping them in the state.

It just wasn’t Ohio State players that dominated the draft they also got great value on a lot of picks.

More Value All Draft Long

The first pick they made was Cedric Tillman the receiver out of Tennessee, and the Browns got him at 74, and PFF had him at 61. They also took Siaki Ika the defensive tackle out of Baylor with their next pick at 98, and PFF had him at 88.

I think you get the point, and every single pick made was great value according to the PFF’s draft board.

The Browns and PFF agree a lot so it’s not unusual to see them give a great grade to the draft, but this could be a home run draft for the Browns if these players live up to their potential.
