The Eagles Might've Found Their Week One Opponent
We have known for a few weeks now that the Philadelphia Eagles will head to Brazil to play a Friday night football game in Week One.
This is the first time the NFL will play in Brazil, and the first time in 50 years the NFL will play a Friday night game the first week of the season.
We currently know the opponents the Eagles will be playing in 2024, but not what order they will be playing them, and news might've dropped Monday morning that told us who the Eagles will be facing off against in that Week One game.
Pro Football Talk's Peter King is confident the Cleveland Browns will be the team to take on the Eagles in Brazil.
The Browns went 11-6 last season and were bounced out of the playoffs in the Wild Card round, just like the Eagles.
The Eagles are coming off a very disappointing season after starting the year hot and finishing it losing six of their last seven games, which includes the playoff loss.
On the other hand, the Browns are coming off a great season after losing their starting running back, Nick Chubb, in Week Two. They only saw quarterback Deshaun Watson start in six games before a season-ending shoulder injury.
Veteran quarterback Joe Flacco saved their season, leading them to the playoffs.
It's funny that the Eagles and Browns were eliminated simultaneously, and their seasons have a different feel.
It would be a neat game to see the Eagles and Browns face each other in Week One in Brazil. It's not confirmed yet by the NFL, but it could be heading that way.
