The Five Best NFL Games Of Week One, 2022
The five best NFL games were hard to choose with such a loaded schedule week in and week out. However, the National Football League might have more parity than ever before. Especially in the AFC, it seems like at least 12 out of the 16 teams in the conference could make the playoffs. There is a great chance that 12 of the 16 AFC teams could be fighting for playoff spots and will be heavily featured in the five best NFL games each week, as seven of them are featured in this week’s five best NFL games.
While in the NFC, for the first time in a while, it’s looking a little weak. As you only really have like four main contenders which leaves a ton of playoff spots up for grabs for some below-par teams this season. We are in store for one of the greatest seasons in the history of the game of American Football. As these are the five best NFL games for week number one of the 2022 season.

Buffalo Bills @ Los Angeles Rams
The presumed AFC favorites vs the defending Super Bowl champions to open up the 2022-23 National Football League season, what more could you ask for? The Buffalo Bills came up just short again for yet another year in a row and they will finally be looking to vanquish the demon this season and get themselves into the Super Bowl this season. They added Von Miller to an already good defense that should get even better this season.
The Los Angeles Rams championship defense is getting started with what could easily be a game of the year contender here in week one of the 2022-23 National Football League season. With the majority of the core returning and an increasingly weaker NFC, the Rams are in a great position to repeat as NFC and possibly even Super Bowl champions this season. This is a potential Super Bowl meeting and that is why it is one of the five best NFL games of week one in my opinion.
Pittsburgh Steelers @ Cincinnati Bengals
An AFC North division classic to open week one there’s not much more you can ask for with this one. As the Pittsburgh Steelers will either be starting Mitch Trubisky or rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett against the defending AFC champions, the Cincinnati Bengals. While the Steelers likely won’t have the success they reached under big Ben again for at least a few more years they are still sure to be very competitive and one of the toughest divisions in the National Football League.
While the Cincinnati Bengals will look to build on last year’s success and get this brand-new season started out with a much-needed victory for momentum purposes after the heartbreaking way they lost the Super Bowl It remains to be seen if Jamar Chase and Joe Burrow can recapture the magic of last year but if they play anything like they did last season in this game then we are in for a classic in week one of the brand new NFL season. This is an old fashion AFC North rivalry matchup and that is why it is one of the best five NFL games of week one.
Kansas City Chiefs @ Arizona Cardinals
The Kansas City Chiefs and Arizona Cardinals will be playing here in week one and it is sure to be a shootout between two of the top offenses in the National Football League. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Arizona’s quarterback Kyler Murray will face off in this one. This is sure to be one of the best matchups of week one in my opinion and potentially could turn into a game of the year contender this early on if both offenses show up to play.
Not to mention both defenses are pretty decent as well so this one really could go either way but I’m still expecting an offensive shootout and if I had to make a prediction I’m taking the Arizona Cardinals to come out on top in what I expect to be one of the best five NFL games in week one of the 2022 season.
Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Chargers
Both of these teams made major improvements over the off-season. There’s a chance they will be playing in the most competitive division in the National Football League this upcoming year as every single week in the AFC West is going to be a grind. This is a great way to kick off the brand-new National Football League season as two of the top teams out in the west will face off.
After all the turmoil the Los Angeles Raiders endured last season they still managed to make the playoffs while the Chargers came up just short. Now it is a new season and all 18 weeks of this regular season is going to feel like a playoff game especially playing in such a loaded conference like the AFC. These two teams are likely to finish towards the top of the conference and that is why this one of my five best NFL games in week one of the 2022 season.
Denver Broncos @ Seattle Seahawks
It didn’t take long for Russell Wilson to get his return trip back to the place where he started his career. As he and the Denver Broncos will visit Seattle in week number one on Monday Night Football. This is sure to be a much improved Broncos and Seahawks team coming into this season and at this point, with it being mid-June this one is too hard to call for me at the moment. With all the hype surrounding this game, it is easy to see why it is one of my five best NFL games for week one of the 2022 season.
When you add in all the potential factors like Russ making his return it makes it even harder to pick a winner. He could come out and have the game of his life and show the Seattle Seahawks that he isn’t quite done yet or he could lay an egg in front of the toughest crowd of the National Football League in one of the five best NFL games of the week.
