The Little League World Series Ends In Shocking Fashion

The two most incredible summer weeks are in mid to late August when 20 baseball teams head down to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to play in the Little League World Series.

The teams are made of primarily 12-year-old kids from the United States and worldwide getting their chance to play on the big stage.

All games are broadcast on ESPN and are a joy to watch. There are many monumental events that go on during the two weeks at Williamsport, from all the tournament games, home run derby, the Little League Classic that involves two MLB teams playing in the area, and all the players get to attend and hang out with the MLB stars, and of course the Little League World Series Championship Game.

The Championship

The Championship occurred Sunday afternoon between California, representing the United States, and Curacao, representing the world.

The moment was incredible, and being there in person was even cooler to see the real-time reaction from all the players and fans.

These kids have worked hard all summer for this moment, and they deserve to have a great one.

For many of these kids, this will be the highlight of their athletic career, which is sad since they are only 12, but it is a reality.

Only a handful of players played in the Little League World Series to make it to the MLB, but even if you don't reach that mark, it doesn't mean they have failed.

It is tough to play this game at a high level, and being one of the best players in the world when you're still in middle school is a high honor. And all the players that got to participate in the Little League World Series should be proud.

The Little League World Series ended in grand fashion, and it was a treat to watch the last few weeks and see these kids leave out their dreams.
