The Top 25 Toughest Places To Play In College Football

On Tuesday, EASports, home to the new college football video game NCAA 2025, put out a list of the Top 25 Toughest Places to play in college football, and here is the list.

25. Mississippi State

Mississippi State

Davis Wade Stadium is home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs, and for a program that has had its ups and downs in the SEC the past few years, they still have a very nice fanbase and home field, so coming in at number 25 seems right here.

24. Boise State

Boise State

Boise State has one of the best homd fields in the Mountain West Conference, and they are home to the iconic blue turf that many people think of whenever Boise State football is brought up. 24 is an okay spot for the Broncos, but they should probably be on the outside looking in on this list.

23. Arkansas

Arkansas

Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium is one of the most underrated stadiums in college football. However, Arkansas football hasn't been great the past few years, and the stadium and environment have suffered.

22. Michigan State

Michigan State

Spartan Stadium is one of the best in the Big Ten when the team is rolling, but since Michigan State hasn't been great the past season, the stadium falls down the list to 22, and it's a good spot for them.

21. Notre Dame

Notre Dame

Notre Dame is one of the most iconic stadiums in college football, and they have a lovely environment. There is no reason why the Fighting Irish should be this low on the list.

20. Iowa

Iowa

Kinnick Stadium is incredible. If you have ever watched an Iowa game, you can see one of the best traditions in college football at the end of the first quarter when all the fans and players turn around and wave to the patients at the UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital. That tradition alone should get them higher, but 20 isn't a bad spot.

19. Texas

Texas is heading into its first season in the SEC, and it will be facing many hostile environments in the sport, so it's a good thing they have one to add to the list.

18. Utah

Utah

Utah is heading to the Big 12, and they will have one of the best stadiums in the conference. Utah has always had an underrated stadium, and it's nice to see them get some love from EASports.

17. Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech's Enter Sandman is one of the best traditions in college football. For a team that has been average the past few seasons, it still has one of the best stadiums in the sport, and it will be nice to see them get back to being great.

16. Michigan

Michigan

Michigan is known as the Big House and hasn't lost a game at home in three years, but it has failed to reach the Top 15 on this list. The stadium is a dump, but it should be higher because the environment is excellent.

15. South Carolina

Williams-Brice Stadium is fantastic, and people don't realize how great it is becuase the Gamecocks have not been great for a while, but the stadium is still rocking every Saturday, and they should be higher on the list.

14. Auburn

Auburn

Jordan-Hare Stadium is another excellent place to watch a college football team, even when the team has been bad for the last few years. However, they will turn the program around soon, and the stadium will host significant games again.

13. Tennessee

Tennessee

This has to be some joke right, right? Neyland Stadium is one of the best stadiums in the sport and should be inside the Top 10. There is no reason why they should be ranked this low. The stadium is on fire every weekend and has one of the sport's best fanbases.

12. Clemson

Clemson

Memorial Stadium, known as Death Valley, is the best stadium in the ACC and is appropriately ranked. The stadium at night is one of the best in the sport, but their afternoon games need to be better when Clemson is rolling; that stadium is great.

11. Oregon

Oregon

I'm not sure why Autzen Stadium has an excellent feel around it. It's awesome to see the Ducks take the field in new uniforms every home game, and the crowd is always exciting. More big-time games will be played with Oregon moving to the Big Ten this season.

10. Florida

Florida

Ben Hill Griffin Stadium was terrific in the mid-2000s with Urban Meyer and Time Tebow, but the Gators have had a hard time winning games the last few years, and the stadium has suffered because of it.

9. Florida State

Florida State

Florida State has great traditions but shouldn't be ranked this high. They are more in the 15 to 20 range, and Clemson has the better stadium in the ACC.

8. Oklahoma

Oklahoma

Oklahoma had the best stadium in the Big 12, but now it is moving to the SEC. It will have some competition, but it is ranked well here.

7. Wisconsin

Wisconsin

Camp Randall Stadium should be ranked a lot higher here. It is probably the best stadium in the Big Ten, and the fans bring it every home game.

6. Penn State

Penn State

Happy Valley has the best night game atmosphere in college football, with its whiteout, which is why it is high on this list.

5. Georgia

Georgia

Georgia has won two of the last three college football titles, and its home stadium has helped them achieve this. Georgia has a very underrated stadium, one of the best in the SEC.

4. Ohio State

Ohio State

Ohio State should not be ranked this high. The stadium is fantastic, but it's very quiet for most of the game.

3. LSU

LSU

LSU should be number one on this list, and there is no reason why to have them at three. This is the best stadium in the sport, and it only gets better each season.

2. Alabama

Alabama

Alabama is excellent, but they shouldn't be ranked second. They should be behind LSU here.

Texas A&M

Kyle Field is not number one; there is no reason to have them this high. It's a nice stadium, but it's way overrated here.
