The Top 5 NFL Fan Bases According To An ESPN Radio Host

Football season is right around the corner, and nothing is better than Top Five lists to count down to the season. Michelle Smallmon from ESPN, one of the hosts from Unsportsmanlike from 6-10 AM ET on ESPN radio, revealed her Top Five best fan bases in the NFL, and here they are.

5. New York Jets

New York Jets

New York Jets fans have suffered a lot through the years and haven't won a Super Bowl since 1969. Jets fans finally got one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL last season, Aaron Rodgers, but he tore his Achilles a few snaps into the new season. Jets fans have suffered a lot and should be on this list.

4. Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills

Buffalo Bills fans are incredible. For a fanbase that hasn't won a single thing, they love their team and even jump through tables during their tailgates. It doesn't matter if the team is 14-3 or 3-14 or if it's 75 degrees and sunny or -25 degrees and snowing. The stadium is always packed; they should be number one or two on this list.

3. Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers

Green Bay Packers fans are among the oldest in the game, and they get to call Lambeau Field home, the most iconic stadium in the NFL. Packer fans are just like Bills fans going to games when it's five degrees out, but the team has been very good for almost three decades now. They are also the team that won the first two Super Bowls, so being a fan of the Packers isn't exactly hard.

2. Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles fans are the Dallas Cowboys fans of the East, but unlike the Cowboys, they can back up their trash talk with their team's performance with things they have done in this century. Eagles fans have always been excellent, even when they weren't winning, and having them on this list was a significant win.

Pittsburgh Steelers

Pittsburgh Steelers should be far from the number one spot on this list. Are they a great fanbase, of course? It's not exactly hard to root for a team with six Super Bowl rings and hardly ever a losing season. Mike Tomlin wins eight games in a season, and the fanbase wants him fired. Now, that doesn't scream like a fanbase that should be ranked number one. There is an argument to be made if they are in the Top Five, but get them off the number one spot.
