The Wyatt Sicks Take Flight On WWE Monday Night Raw.

The Wyatt Sicks are a group that built a lot of excitement with creepy vignettes and stunning backstage segments. The workout of the ring had been nothing short of breathtaking. What had been left in the dark was the ability for this to translate to in-ring work.

The Wyatt Sicks was born from the creation of the Uncle Howdy character the late Bray Wyatt had debuted before his passing. There had always been issues translating the ultra-creative mind of Bray Wyatt into an in-ring story. Key examples include having the Fiend losing to Seth Rollins inside Hell in a Cell, and The Fiend losing in an embarrassing match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 37.

This naturally lead fans to worry if Triple H was going to be able to turn this incredible in concept Wyatt Sicks group in to a legitimate threat in the ring, and not just a spooky novelty. Members of the group had been making appearances through out the last few weeks, including a tag match featuring Lumis, Gacey, and Rowan against American Made's Brutus, and Julius Creed, and Chad Gable. Howdy himself even had a chance to go one on one with Master Gable. This left a lot of fans worried about the future of the Wyatt Sicks, and if WWE was going to be able to handle booking them properly.

On the season premiere of Monday Night Raw most of the questions had about the Wyatt Sicks had been answered. The stage had been set for what seemed like the final chapter of the Wyatt Sicks, American Made saga, with the two teams facing off in an 8 person mixed street fight. There are not many occasions where wrestlers come out of street fights looking like legitimate threats. The pressure was on for the new look Wyatt Family.

The group did not disappoint in what seemed to be a make-or-break situation. Each member had a chance to shine during the match. Nikki Cross and Erik Rowan were clear stars of the group showing they have not lost a step since we had seen them in previous runs. Nikki ended up performing a jaw-dropping spot, where she hit a German Suplex on to Chad Gable. Erik Rowan stood out as he was laid beneath several chairs after a group attack from American Made. Rowan rose from the carnage, and began to lay waste to Chad Gable and his group.

As the match progressed The Wyatt Sicks continued to prevail. Each member had hit a signature move on a member of American Made. Chad Gable being the only one to not be attacked attempted to break up a pinfall attempt. Uncle Howdy quickly rose form his chair and hit Gable with a Sister Abigail that helped his team secure the victory.

Shake's Take:

I was worried about the direction the Wyatt Sicks were taking creatively. The promos, and vignettes have been spectacular, but some of the ring-in performances we had seen from the group had left some to be desired. While I must admit, the reason I was underwhelmed as a viewer was because Chad Gable was the first focal point for the group.

There was never a moment where you truly felt that the Wyatt Sicks was dominant in the ring because the groups they were going after consisted of superstars either trying to make a name for themselves or are and the end stages of their career. The performance that the Wyatt Sicks had in the street certainly cemented them as a legitimate force in WWE.
