These Five NASCAR Drivers Are The Favorites To Win At Pocono

After tearing up the streets of downtown Chicago last weekend, the NASCAR Cup Series shifts its focus to Pocono Speedway at the Great American Getaway 400. Denny Hamlin won this race in 2023 despite leading only nine laps.

Will Hamlin be able to repeat his winning performance this weekend? Or will one of the drivers on the playoff bubble make a splash? Here are the five betting favorites to win at Pocono.

5) Martin Truex Jr. +750

5) Martin Truex Jr. +750

Martin Truex Jr. hasn't won a race this season. Although he is 125 points above the playoff cut line, Truex would love to get a victory and not have to worry about points. It would also be nice for the veteran driver to get a win in his final season racing full-time. Truex Jr. finished third at Pocono last year and ran in the top ten in 2022. With +750 odds, Martin Truex Jr. could be an exciting driver to bet on this weekend.

4) Tyler Reddick +700

Tyler Reddick came up short last weekend in Chicago. It's not hard to imagine him catching Alex Bowman and possibly winning the race if it weren't shortened due to weather, but Reddick needs to put that behind him and focus on what's next. The 28-year-old has finished second at this track for two years and led 15 laps at Pocono in 2023. Can Reddick finally get over the hump and get his first career win at this track? Vegas believes he can, giving him the fourth-best odds to head to victory lane.

3) Christopher Bell +600

3) Christopher Bell +600

Christopher Bell's three wins this season have him fourth in the playoff standings, behind William Byron, teammate Denny Hamlin, and Kyle Larson. Bell has finished inside the top ten the last two years at Pocono but has failed to get a win in six career races at this track. The 20-car has been hot and cold at superspeedways this season, with a 38th-place finish at Talladega and a third-place finish at Daytona. Bell should be a favorite to win any race in the future, with seven top-ten outings in his last eight races.

2) Kyle Larson +500

2) Kyle Larson +500

Things didn't end well for Kyle Larson and the 5-car in Chicago last weekend, but he's still the regular season points leader. Larson is only 11 points ahead of teammate Chase Eillot. However, the 5-car has a series-best 755 laps led and is second in stage wins with eight. Surprisingly, Larson has no NASCAR Cup Series wins at Pocono but has finished in the top ten in four of his last five races at the track. Not many things are guaranteed in racing, but Kyle Larson being in the mix seems to be one of them. At +500, he's got the second-best odds of winning on Sunday.

1) Denny Hamlin +350

1) Denny Hamlin +350

Denny Hamlin has struggled over the past five weeks, and he's not trying to hide the fact. Hamlin acknowledged his misfortune during this week's episode of Actions Detrimental. It's safe to say that the 11-car is due for a decent outing, and Pocono is the perfect track to turn things around. Hamlin has seven career wins at this race track, including a trip to victory lane last season. The veteran driver is looking for his long-awaited Cup Series Championship, and a win this weekend could go a long way in making that dream a reality.
