These Five NASCAR Drivers Are The Favorites To Win In New Hampshire

The NASCAR Cup Series shifts from the cornfields of Iowa to New Hampshire, where they'll run 301 laps on Sunday for the USA Today 301. NASCAR's top series has been racing at this track since 1993. Martin Truex Jr. won this race last season. The veteran driver announced he's planning to retire at the end of the year. Getting a win this weekend would secure him in the NASCAR playoffs.

So, who are the betting favorites to win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway? Here are the five drivers Vegas believes to have the best shot at visiting Victory Lane.

5) Kyle Larson +700

5) Kyle Larson +700

Kyle Larson dropped to second in the NASCAR Cup Series standings after finishing 34th in Iowa last weekend thanks to a crash on Lap 220. Despite the disappointing run, the 5-car is only eight points behind Chase Elliot and has a series-high eight stage wins. Larson raced well last year in New Hampshire, finishing third. He'll look for his first Cup Series win at this track.

4) Ryan Blaney +650

4) Ryan Blaney +650

The defending Champion doesn't have to worry about making the playoffs anymore. Blaney won his first race of the year last weekend, giving him a chance to defend his title once the playoffs begin. Blaney is seventh in the standings with 501 points. His five top-five finishes, seven top-ten finishes, and two stage wins make him the highest-ranking Ford driver. If Blaney can continue his success from last weekend, he's undoubtedly one of the favorites to win on Sunday.

3) Denny Hamlin +500

3) Denny Hamlin +500

The last couple of weeks have not been kind to Denny Hamlin. The veteran was forced to leave the race in Sonoma with engine problems and was in the wrong place at the wrong time last Sunday, making contact with Larson on Lap 220. Hamlin finished the race 24th and has slid down to third in the standings. He has three career wins at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, along with 11 top-fives and 19 top-ten finishes.

2) Martin Truex Jr. +450

2) Martin Truex Jr. +450

Martin Truex Jr. won at this track last year and will be motivated to find victory lane again. The 43-year-old is in the middle of his final NASCAR season, and a win this weekend would ensure he continues to race during the playoffs. Truex Jr. may not have a win this year, but he's earned himself 530 points, good for fifth in the Cup Series Standings. While he'll likely get into the postseason on points alone, it would be great to see the former Champion win one more race before he calls it quits.

1) Christopher Bell +400

1) Christopher Bell +400

Christopher Bell was on the wrong side of a caution flag in Iowa but still found a way to finish fourth. The 20-car has two wins, five top-fives, ten top-tens, and six stage wins this season. His 498 points put him eighth in the standings, 102 points back of the leader. Bell was the pole winner at New Hampshire last year and won the entire race in 2022. With +400 odds, he's the favorite to win this Sunday.
