This NFL Team Is A LOCK To Win Week 5

Seahawks, Giants, Survivor

The Seattle Seahawks have had a stellar start to the 2024 NFL season. Their campaign started with a perfect 3-0 record consisting of wins over Denver, New England, and Miami. Unfortunately, the team fell short against a really tough Detroit Lions team on the road. With a bounce-back matchup against the 1-3 New York Giants, here is why the Seahawks are a LOCK to win NFL Week 5!

Seattle's Offense Has Been One Of The League's Best

Geno Smith has been playing some of the best football of his career. While he has only thrown four touchdowns (and rushed for one) in four games along with four interceptions, there has been no doubt he is able to lead his offense down the field. Smith has thrown for 280+ yards in three of his four matchups and currently leads the NFL in passing yards.

The former Jet has not been throwing many touchdowns because his two running backs--Kenneth Walker and Zach Charbonnet-- have combined for seven rushing touchdowns. The 5th ranked total offense Seahawks will take on a Giants defense which is 13th in total offense allowed this season.

Injuries Have Piled Up For Giants

It will be a tough battle for the New York Giants who will be without star wide receiver Malik Nabers. The rookie has been sensational through the first quarter of his NFL career but he suffered a concussion last week against Dallas and has been ruled out as he is still in protocol.

Another key player missing will be running back Devin Singletary. The former Buffalo Bill is doubtful with a groin injury. Rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr is expected to start and is a big fantasy waiver wire add ahead of this week. The former Purdue star has a chance to make a name for himself after having only 29 rushing yards so far.

Conclusion

The Seattle Seahawks (3-1) will look to get back into the win column. With a tough matchup next week on Thursday Night Football, Seattle cannot afford to lose this week and battle one of the NFC's best on short rest. While the Giants (1-3) desperately need a win, it will be hard without its best offensive player (Nabers) while starting an unproven running back. The Giants defense will play well like they always do but it won't be enough to silence the 12th Man in Seattle.
