This Star Vikings Player Could Be Back On The Field Soon
If you're a fan of the Minnesota Vikings, you couldn't ask for a better start to the 2024 season. The team is a perfect 4-0 with wins over the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, Houston Texans, and Green Bay Packers.
The team has done all of this without one of its top offensive weapons, but that could be changing soon.
Hockenson Getting Ready For His Season Debut
Tight end T.J. Hockenson started the season on the physically unable-to-perform list as he continues to work his way back from a knee injury he suffered last season. Head coach Kevin O'Connell said Wednesday that the Vikings expect to open the practice window for two-time Pro Bowler on Friday.
The 21-day practice window will allow Hockenson to participate in team activities, further preparing him for his season debut. Minnesota has a bye in week six, which could allow Hockenson to return to the team's week seven game when they host the NFC North rival Detroit Lions.
The Vikings Are Rolling
Minnesota has had a great start to the season despite Hockenson's absence and being without wide receiver Jordan Addison for a couple of weeks. The Vikings are the only undefeated team in the NFC, with three wins inside the conference.
Quarterback Sam Darnold has seemingly revived his career. The former first-round draft pick has a career-high 68.9% completion percentage and leads the entire NFL with 11 touchdown throws.
Next up for the Vikes, a meeting with Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets in London. Minnesota has a perfect 4-0 record in games overseas, with the most recent win against the New Orleans Saints in 2022. New York is a 2.5-point underdog heading into the game.
