Top 10 NFL Quarterbacks Right Now

It's pretty clear who the top ten quarterbacks in the league are, and the only question is how to rank them. When making my list, I considered their overall career, performance in the past year, and raw talent. I also gave preference to younger players. While Aaron Rodgers, Kirk Cousins, and Matt Stafford are undoubtedly talented quarterbacks, in my opinion, their best years are behind them, and they no longer belong in the top ten.

10. Anthony Richardson

Anthony Richardson Colts' Quarterback

Anthony Richardson has the arm talent to make the list of top quarterbacks in the league, but what I've seen from him as a rookie at the beginning of the season proves that he is already one of the best. Richardson will surprise everyone this year by leading his team to the playoffs and making a run for the MVP title.

9. CJ Stroud

CJ Stroud Texans' Quarterback

As a rookie, CJ Stroud won the AFC South and a playoff game despite a poor pre-draft performance. Stroud went on to win Rookie of the Year. Stroud threw for over 4,100 yards, with twenty-three touchdowns and only five interceptions.

8. Jordan Love

Packers' Quarterback Jordan Love

Jordan Love had an outstanding season last year, throwing for more than 4,100 yards and 31 touchdowns. He also led his team to a first-round playoff victory. This year is crucial for Love, as he has the opportunity to take his game to the next level and become an elite quarterback.

7. Justin Herbert

Chargers' Quarterback Justin Herbert

Justin Herbert is on this list based on his talent despite his lack of wins. This year is his chance to prove himself, as he could either drop off the list or make it to the Top Five. Although he had a rough year, he's thrown for 5,000 yards before, but the question remains: can he win?

6. Joe Burrow

Bengals' Quarterback Joe Burrow

Joe Burrow has proven to be a successful player in college, having won a National Championship. In his second year in the NFL, he made it to the Super Bowl. However, Joe Burrow has been struggling to stay healthy. This falls on the organization, as they must invest in an offensive line to protect him.

5. Josh Allen

Josh Allen lost Stefon Diggs as his top receiver, but this may benefit the Bills, as they have eliminated any negative impact he may have had on the locker room. The team added Keon Coleman, a 6'5" receiver from the draft, and Curtis Samuel, a free agent, who will strengthen the team.

4. Brock Purdy

49ers' Quarterback Brock Purdy

Brock Purdy had an outstanding season, throwing over 4,200 yards and 31 touchdowns. He led his team to multiple game-winning drives and narrowly lost in the Super Bowl to Patrick Mahomes on a last-minute game-winning drive. Purdy is part of a great team, and as a young player, this is a crucial year for him to prove his worth and secure a lucrative contract.

3. Jalen Hurts

Eagles' Quarterback Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts is currently the second-best dual-threat quarterback in the league. In the previous year, he had over 3,800 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, and over 600 rushing yards, which was a step down from his previous performance. Jalen's raw talent alone puts him among the top five quarterbacks in the NFL.

2. Lamar Jackson

Ravens' Quarterback Lamar Jackson

Two-time MVP Lamar Jackson is the closest quarterback to Patrick Mahomes. Lamar threw for over 3,600 yards and rushed for over 800 yards. Although some may still perceive him as just a running back, Jackson can beat defenders with both his legs and arm, creating uncertainty for the opposing team.

1. Patrick Mahomes

Chiefs' Quarterback Patrick Mahomes

Patrick Mahomes is widely regarded as the best quarterback in the NFL. His talent level is unmatched by any other player in the league. Mahomes has achieved back-to-back Super Bowl victories and is poised to claim a third with the talent his team has added in the off-season. While Mahomes did not have the best regular season, his three Super Bowl wins speak volumes about his abilities.
